Start the bike up without the muffler on. That woke up the neighborhood. lol Bike has been apart for only 4 days now, but it seems like weeks. I am getting too anxious and need play. Hope I didn't mess anything up by doing this, it seems that the TPS is sensitive to this stuff? |

Shea, You could remove or change the entire exhaust system and it would have absolutely no effect on the TPS. When the TPS is reset, you are telling the ECM where "zero" throttle position is so it is really an ECM reset. When you make a change to the exhaust, it could have an effect on the air/fuel ratio (rich or lean) going into the engine. An exhaust that flows more freely could make the engine run lean enough to actually cause damage if the ECM were not remapped. If you only ran it for a few minutes I doubt it did any harm. Keith |

When I changed my stock pipe for a DRUMMER I also had to crank it up with no muffler. It sounded great only ran it about 30 sec. That was 2 years ago no problems. |
