the tach on my 2003 xb9s started to jump around and then stopped reading anything.i checked the connections.could not find anything in the kv.

SAME HAPPENED TO ME...IT WAS MY SENSOR, EASILY FIXED/REPLACED BY THE DEALER (ABOUT 20 MINUTES), & I WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.

Yeah, sounds like the spedo sensor. There's an upgraded component that isn't quite so sensitive.

If I am not mistaken, some have simply removed the sensors and wiped any debris off, replaced it and it worked fine. Might want to check the KV on this

truk: That is correct. I have removed mine, cleaned it off and reinstalled it. It has been working fine since August or Sept.
