Well, after a lot of heating and beating, mostly over the Red color, I finally struck a great deal with my local dealership. I got the 5 year warranty and all the parts except for the Carbon Fiber. The parts guy talked me out of it. Thanks Daves and others for your time and effort. It will be another 2 weeks before I pick up the bike because they had to order the parts and install them. I feel like I live at that dealership. While I was waiting for them to do all the paperwork, I ended up buying an LED tail light for the V-Rod and making an appointment for its 10k checkup next week. Actually, the bike has 11k. But now that I have the Buell, I plan to put some miles on it come spring. I also joined the BRAG national group, which is free for the first year and then I'll join my local chapter. What is cool about that is my last name is Bragg. | ||

Since it is the only XB12R and they won't get another one until January, part of the deal was to keep the bike there incase anyone wanted to see one. Like when I walked in. Also, the weather here is poopie and will be all weekend. But I have a cool DVD to watch. FWIW, they said that was the first and only '06 XB12R sold at the dealership in 2005. | ||
