Here is some real photos:
This is the stock black plastic XB fender mounted on the Uly front forks:

XBfender on uly

This is the American Sport Bike CF fender (same shape as stock fender) on the shop XB for reference:
XBfender on XB

Some weights:
Uly front fender assy: 23.5 Oz
XB front fender (stock plastic): 12 Oz
American Sport Bike CF front fender: 5 Oz

The Uly top front fender (AKA, The Beak) also functions as the lower headlight support. The lower triple tree is different than on the shop 03XB9S, and the headlight support bracket hole isn't there on the Uly lower triple tree, so the small tab bracket from the XB-S can't be used. Looks like a trivial bracket would be needed to be fabricated to support the lower lights. There IS a hole that could be used, it just isn't in the same place as on the XB-S.

I'll certainly be looking at producing a frame mounted fairing for the Ulysses

Make it more like the size/height of the S3 fairing, but with the sharper lines of the XB/R fairing, and I think you'd sell a butload of 'em. Including one to me : )

If you need some modeling help, ping me. : )

XB12XR all black street height please!
Or XB12SsR with the backrest/cargo plate.
That would be my vote!

to the critic, I say, let's see you do better -- as I understand it:
