Well I am officially separated from the bike for 8 weeks. Working in NY for next 8 weeks. Anyone have any suggestions where I can get decent accomodations for a couple months without spending 6k a month? I'll be bouncing back and forth each day from Manhattan and the Bronx.

P.S. willing to spend up to 1700.00 a month

Hell for a 1000.00 a month you can stay at my house and use the rest for gas...LOL

Might have to leave a bit early though as I live in NC.

Jason-
I am a bit uncertain as to what you will actually be doing. Will you be working in both the Bronx and Manhattan, or planning on living in Manhattan and working in the Bronx?
In any event, you might find, as do most people who work in Manhattan, that it is nice live in the suburbs and commute. If you rented an apartment in Westchester or Connecticut, you could commute very easily to both the Bronx and Manhattan on the railroad: millions do it everyday. Rent would be a lot cheaper, and life a lot less hectic than Manhattan.
You could even ship your bike to your suburban location, and get some fun New England riding in on the weekends. It would be a real shame to leave your beautiful Black XB12 at home when the riding season is just getting good here, and there is a lot of motorcycle related activities going on. You do know that people DO ride motorcycles in NY, don't you:-)?

work has me down there quite often myself, I can generally pull it off comfortably for around $500.00 a week, but I go home for the weekend.

How will you be traveling? Are you looking at Residence Hotels?

I had to leave on a whim last night. I flew into Newark and need to get situated somewhere by Monday. I am new to this area. I usually do go for a corporate apt, or a residence hotel. I will be working in both locations equally each day or alternating each location every day. Thanks in advance.

I don't want to speak for him (sorry Court) but it may be worth talking to Court...he lives in NYC and his knowledge of the city is pretty vast...

Now it's just Manhattan. Sorry to bring the crap to the XB forums. But I realize some of you guys are from up here, and I've never had to work up here for more than 5 days on my own dime. I'm amazed at how pricey living is anywhere near here. Court, if you have any suggestions please post or email me. Thanks

I believe Court might be at the Homecoming event, don't fret, he is a busy man.
