Well this will probably be my last post. Cancer is very aggressive and has spread into my liver,Pancreas, and lungs. It's Terminal. Expiration date a couple of months.. I just want to thank a lot of the members on this board for the Help and support with my XB12S. Especially Dave S. Thanks for the Deals. Honestly it's kinda of scary dying. But the weirdest thing is I'm just trying to get all my Ducks in a Row before I leave this place. I don't want to leave Steph in a bind. They are probably going to start me on Hospice care in a couple of weeks or when I need it. Feel O.K right now.So thanks again for all the Help and Support and don't worry about me. I'll be riding my Buell in Paradise.
Thanks again,
Rob S.

P.S
Live each day like it's your last, because it very well might be. Peace out.

Our Days on this earth
are only a few.
Like a drop in the ocean
so bright and so blue.

In our youth we look to the future
with dreams that's so bright.
Not really realizing
God keeps us always in sight.

He guides our path
with such a gentle hand.
Gives us the courage we need
to take our stand.

We shove that little voice aside
and say - "I have plenty of time."
God with His gentle patience says
"I'll wait - I don't mind."

As time slides on
and we daily stray,
God's gentle voice says
That's O.K. - I'll have my day."

When His hand
constantly brings us in line,
We look back and say
"I've wasted so much time."

Come to Me early
Our God pleads.
I have for you to plant
Many, Many seeds.

*** Ur a brave person and I admire you for that.

Thanks Mike, I haven't given up, I think it's just my time and I'm ready. I have had a good life, traveled a lot around the world. Made great friends and I think I'm ready. Now I'm just going through the old girlfriend list and calling them and asking forgiveness and saying goodbye to all my friend and family. It's the Cancer that started in my brain that's giving me real trouble. It is painful, nerve painful. It's hard to concentrate sometimes because pain is so severe. but thanks for the well wishes.

Ryde on, FreeBird, for you will soon be free at last. I am saddened to hear about your situation. I lost my best friend of 20 years last year, and it was unexpected. While he is gone, he certainly will not be forgotten, and I am sure the same holds true for you. Life is short and precious. Thank you for reminding us to learn to appreciate every day. I wish you well. Take care, and godspeed!

Sorry to hear of the terrible news brother. You have clearly stated that you accept this and have the courage to go on. I admire you for that and must say you are a big person. If you feel like you need to talk to someone you have a friend here in New Jersey that will listen. Contact me if you want to. Wish you and your family and friends the best.

Oh man. I'm so sorry to hear this. I don't know what to say. Makes my "problems" seem pitiful and self-centered. My thoughts will be with you.

We'll all meet one of these days and we'll have ourselves a good ride. OK?

Thinking of you.

I am truely, deeply sorry to hear this.

I know I don't know you but I will miss your posts.

I wish there was more time
Be brave, be strong. One journey is ending but a new one shall begin. I'm not religous but I am spiritual and My prayers are for you to be blessed in the next life and your family to be blessed in this one. There will be support here for them.
A part of me is waiting for you to jump out & yell "just kidding!" but I know that will never be. I am in silent awe. I wish I could give words of comfort but how is that even possible?
I guess all I can do is shake your virtual hand and say Goodbye Rob. You will be missed. Thankyou for sharing your experiences & your fondness of bikes with us.

Rob I admire your bravery. It sounds like you're not afraid of dying and that's a great help to you I'm sure.

Nothing I could ever say could offer you the comfort you or anyone in your awful situation deserves but I want you to know that my heart goes out to you. Nothing on the BadWeB is more important than what you're facing up to.

I shall take comfort from your death knowing that you would want me to open the throttle wide and hard the next time I get my leg over a Hayabusa and give it the berries in your honour. That's what I'll do for you man. I'll smoke its tyres right off the rims and you'll be able to smell the burning rubber up in heaven.

Ride on Rob

Why does it always take tragedy and loss to remind us of what is really important. Our lives, our loved ones, our friends. I didn,t know you, but I consider everyone on this board a friend.

My prayers and those of my family are with you and your family. Prayers of good spirits and comfort. And if it be God's will, health. But in the end, His will be done. Take care and know that you are loved and will be missed.

Rob,
You got courage man...
Bloody hell, this scares the sh#t out of me, your only 2 years older than me.

I lost my ole Flatmate 3 years ago this November the same way, he would be that same age as you, so I know what your going through.

BUT DON'T give up, cherish each day and those close to you.

Our thoughts are with you..

I don’t post here very often but I visit these threads every night hoping to glean some new piece of wisdom from those who’ve been there and done that. Tonight I’ve gained a very unexpected lesson in life. I’ve learned that how a person faces eternity is just as great a test of their humanity as how they faced life. You sir have moved me with your strength and dignity and I know in my heart that divinity will guide you and yours to peace.

Vaya Con Dios my friend

Wow, reallity check. I iwsh you well, remember there is more that they don't understand about willpower, mental state, and healing than they are willing to admit. They told me not so long ago (1.5 yrs) that I'd never stand on my own again. I walk (and ride) now because I refused to believe it and I'm too stubborn to give up when they told me to stop because I'd "done enough".

Your best is all anyone can ask of you, and if you've given it SLeep the sleep of the righteous.

I wish you well, and hope to hear back from you soon with a report of a sudden remission.

Brian

Wow...it's amazing how we go day to day, sometimes worrying about the little things and we never realize how precious life really is, and that we really need to treasure it. I've taken that philosophy for the past few years and it's paid off. Stop worrying about the little things - they really don't matter. Have fun, do what you want, and life life to the fullest - you never do know how short it may just be.

Ride on Rob...whereever you go...

Nevar posted this site, and this thread in particular, on the Moto Guzzi owners site (MGNOC). First and foremost, Godspeed and comfort. I Have witnessed this type of situation too many times in my life, as an RN working in ICU for 25 years, and with my own father 10 years ago. I am always in awe of the courage people can conjure up in difficult / end of life situations. The lucky ones, and judging by your post you are one of them, are given the gift of seeing and treasuring life as it is meant to be. It's not about power and $$, it's appreciating friends, family, nature, freedom and of course, motorcycles. You are the hero, not some overpaid ignorant unappreciative athlete, or some egotistical movie star. You are the benchmark of what it is to be a good person. I hope and pray you have the time you require to prepare yourself and your family. God bless you my man.

Team,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Thanks for sharing a little piece of your life with us. I saw a saying in an old shop and I try to live by it.

"It's not how many breaths you take in life, it's how many times life takes your breath away."
