Thanks, I do have a first impression. Is it me or does this thing only run between 3,000-7,000 rpm? It seems there is alot of vibration and noise up to 2,500 then smooths out. I can only compare it to my 748R and R1100S. I bought it because it is unique and with the right exhaust sounds soooo cooool. If its normal as the dealer says, well thats fine.....John

Yep, the vibration and noise is normal.
Put a D+D on it and you'll never hear the noise!

Welcome

This bike will make a lot of noise but unless you think you got a rod knocking it is all good. I have punished the daylights out of my bike and no problems from the engine whatsoever, You will love the bike.

hello and best greetings to the FNG. enjoy the XB. yes mine is a little rough whenever i am not going too fast. they are a little lean down low, thats why they sip very little fuel, and dont need catalyst exhaust.

The motor noises don't sound serious just clatter or rattles probably less than the ducati but mostly goes away above 2,500 rpm. My riding buds noticed the stripes on the tires and had multiple comments. I had to put the knee sliders on the deck to remove them and shut them up....John
