Due to a change at work I might actually be able to make it down to Daytona for the FX race. Anyone know about ticket availability/pricing at the gate? If I go for it I'll be riding down from NC on Friday and heading back on Sunday. Anyone else on the same route? Mike L. '04 XB12R | ||

I'll be there with some friends. we will be bouncing between the rubber seal and weld booths. gotta have our v-rod chopper there and hopefully our turbine chopper. the xb's still in pieces, trying to get the nitrous all plumed before then. be there about the 5th through the 15th. CAN NOT WAIT! but so much to do yet...... | ||

Will be in the Keys on the 1st through the 3rd or longer if I am enjoying myself. Plan to camp there and further north until I end up in Daytona area on the 7th and 8th. PM any cell numbers if anyone wants to ride. SteveH | ||

Info on the Battletrax event. From Reg: After the great reception we received from riders last year, KTM is once again sponsoring a SuperTTrax (BattleTrax) at Daytona. KTM will be providing 450s & 525s fitted with supermotard kits for your use. You will not be able to use your own bike, but are welcome to ride the KTMs all day. Date: Friday, March 11 Location: Best Buy parking lot across from Speedway, adjacent to Hops Restaurant (same as it's been for years Time: 9am to 4pm, non-stop. Come early, this has proven to be a very popular event. There is no charge to ride. | ||

Hang out?? Hopefully we will be riding. Depending on weather I may take a trip down to the keys. Also need to run over to Orlando & visit with my aunt for a bit. Other than that its screwing around, hitting the local hotspot bars, get a dyno run at Carls, etc. | ||

All I am aware of in the way of Buell rentals is the Blast. Anyone ever seen or heard of a dealership renting XB's? | ||

I don't know about rentals in the Daytona area, but Shelton's HD/Buell in Smithfield, NC would rent XBs at one time. I'm not sure if they still do. Can anybody confirm if tickets for the races are available at the track? Thanks, Mike | ||

the BRAG event on saturday is sold out. public admission tix are prob available. before i decided to ship my bike down, i looked into renting one. daytona harley - sold out. orlando harley - sold out. those are the only 2 i checked, so there may be others. i decided i'd rather ride mine (almost same in price to rent for the week as it is to ship down and back) so i'm shipping mine  | ||

As far as hangin out at nite, I check out Hess's gas station on International Blvd, Hooters( we all meet there Wed nite startin at 6pm), and just follow the sport bike riders they gather at various gas stations convenient stores, etc.. I'll be there on a white XB9R and have a Fiery(black XB9SL) and BadS1(red XB12S) with me. Also check out Main street later at nite, if ya see Buells and a spot to pull in and park, stop we be there too. I also go to the races at nite, where else can you see ALL formats of racing in one week?!?! Plus Monday nite at the Ocean center is BRAG only nite so that is a good place to meet up and go from there. Enjoy it there is so much to do!! | ||

I'll be heading down to Orlando on the 13th, maybe some of ya will be around then..I plan on bringing the bike down for a month of golf and riding. |
