Finally got around to doing something with my exhaust after having the bike for two years... I didn't like the naked look of aftermarket exhaust, so I wanted to stick with the stocker.

Found out about the Muffled Thunder setup from Dean's website, sounded right up my alley, and he's about an hour away from me to boot... Decided to pull the trigger and took my stocker out to him.

I got the exhaust back yesterday after the mod and a full ceramic coating in Cobalt (which I HIGHLY recommend - it looks freaking awesome) and put it on late last night. Couldn't resist a quick sound test, and it had me grinning ear to ear.

Took it out for a ride tonight, and I'm even more impressed than I was yesterday. It's got a deep punch it never had, but it's not so loud that it rattles you while riding. It's exactly what I wanted, and I'm very happy with how it all turned out.

A quick pic of the bike as it sits tonight...

That looks fantastic, those tips look a heck of a lot better than the ones I fabbed together.

Looks pretty sweet

Are you running a race ECM with it?

I am, I actually picked up the EBR ECM a couple days before I took the exhaust to Dean. Between the ECM, the Saddlemen seat, and the Vibranator bar ends, the ridability has jumped ten-fold. The ECM difference alone is staggering. The exhaust doesn't do much for ridability, but it's exactly what I wanted. : D

I'll get a couple better pics of the exhaust tonight, and maybe a sound clip to go with it if I can manage to get one reasonably close in sound.

Getting those set exactly right and welded into place is a pain.

I haven't heard one of those in a while, bring it back by sometime, I'll get the video of it then if you want.

If you're free this weekend at all I might bring it up to you Dean. Easter weekend and all I wouldn't be surprised if you had plans though.

Mostly sound from what Dean tells me, but he can confirm.

The race ecm will get you a small bump in power even with the stock pipe. I advertised this as strictly a sound mod, but with proper tuning you should see a little more power.

I know we're out doing stuff most of the day Saturday with family, as well as Sunday morning. I'm thinking the afternoon might be free though.

It looks fantastic! I got mine ceramic coated last year but uses the stock tips. Yours looks so much better. Buell should have done it this way.

Haven't had the chance to get any better pics yet, had my dog neutered on Friday so I've been hanging out with him since. I should have some time this weekend to take a couple more pics.

As far as the Vibranator ends goes, the difference to me is huge. I've got carpel-tunnel in both wrists, and I went for a nice long ride the other day without much discomfort at all. Normally by the 30~45 minute mark, my right wrist is in pain and going numb. It took an hour and a half the other night for the same effect. That said, it's been a bit since I've ridden it as well, so it's possible my wrists were more rested than usual which may have contributed to the time. The difference in vibration is very noticeable though.

Took a couple quick pics with the point-and-shoot. I tried getting a good example of the color but it's hard to do in the shade.

It's a little better now than it was when I first started doing them.
