other than that, change the oil, check the tire pressure and have a BLAST! or an 1125, either one, I've had both! The only bikes I've owned are 05 Blast, 06 XB12Scg, and my 09 1125cr.

don't do anything i would do, and if you do don't get caught

So...
I have what looks like the typical clutch weep for the 2009 1125R.

I plan to do the repairs and expect i'll be ordering the EBR Clutch Actuator Cylinder & O-ring Kit seen here:
http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/parts-accesso ries/clutch/ebr-clutch-actuator-cylinder-kit.html

should i be looking for a coupon for the part? (see that option on EBRs web site)
I noticed some folks were also installing the new cover (Rev. B? i think it's called)

should i be considering that as well? or is it mostly cosmetic.

If yours is an 09 it should have the RevB cover...I believe they started transitioning to the new cover with the late 08's. I still have my Rev A cover with the EBR Clutch Actuator and it's fine.

There currently are no coupons. I've seen them run promos for suspension components, but never anything for the clutch actuator.

It is cosmetic, but you have it already anyway. Since you are ordering from EBR, and you will be taking the clutch cover off anyway, I recommend adding the carbon fiber case guards, they are cheaper to repair/replace than the stuff they protect

+1 on engine covers and gaurds. I didn't have them on my S1K yet and had a tip over at a stop light. It's amazing how much damage can happen at a stand still let alone while moving.

thanks much for the feedback...
: )
i'm grateful i found yall

i assume since no one said
"n00b! you can't do that #@*&"

.. that i'm on pretty much the right path.

** 1 other thing if i may.
the puk (black rubberized(?)coating) on the center cover has a 'peeled' area on the lower half. I increased it by merely a light wiping of the clutch fluid. after repair, is there any cosmetic fix for that?

of course, the CF cover would be one i guess ...
- well, did see the puck replacement part at American Sport Bike

** oh,
and dot 4 brake fluid to top off in the mean time
pretty much any brand?

ok that's 2 other things
i'm sure there's many more but ...
oh well

it will work. just once youve done so, wipe off any that you got in the painted surface just with your finger. I used to do this to bicycles when i worked in a bicycle shop for 8 years. i had every color sharpie...

The puck is aluminum, I believe it is powder coated, so the only real fix is to get it recoated. It may be salvageable with the touchup paint for the villain black wheels. The carbon fiber cover will cover most of the puck anyway, so it may be a moot point.

Regarding the fluid, any Dot4 will work.

Frank - pucks are anodized, no powdercoat.
Probably cheaper to find or become a machinist.

I have no doubts the 1125s will be just like Vincents in 20 years.
