Hey guys, my 1125r is stock and I'm looking to make some easy upgrades. I'm pretty sold on the EBR ECM, I just need to figure out what exhaust I want!
Initially I was going to keep the exhaust stock, but I noticed I've got a dent on the front and the black coating is starting to flake off, so I think it's due an upgrade.

Unlike probably most people, I don't want aftermarket exhaust for extra loudness! I actually like the subdued nature of the stock exhaust. I do wish it had more of that low end bass rumble.

My main concern is performance. I love my 1125r for the torque you get across the powerband, and want to mantain, if not improve upon that feature! I've read some mixed reviews about performance with aftermarket exhausts. I understand how a freer flowing exhaust should increase torque and horsepower, but I've been reading some reviews where people are reporting diminished low to mid range torque. What gives?

Any recommendations on which exhaust gives a nice, deep, sexy exhaust note, and either keeps the low end torque the same or improves it?

Dean Adams did extensive testing and a detailed write-up on a bunch of options. Do a search on here and you may find what you're looking for. It's been a couple of years since it was posted.

I gutted the final chamber and welded on a twin exhaust tip from a Corvette. Sounds awsome. I use a hmf ecm. The performance improvement was mind boggling.

Full system on mine that I built last year, started at 122 hp stock, at just shy of 140 hp & 90 ft/lbs torque now, guess I had a weaker motor. I need to mess with the a/f mix some, just started doing that today actually.

I can do a modified stock can as well, figure it might hit 135 tops, haven't tested one with a race ecm yet.

Albert's slip on is a good allrounder.
made 146hp and 80ftlb with a really flat torque curve -above 70 from 4,500 to 11,000.

Full big bore system even better, but not had chance to dyno. Quieter than the slip on.

I've also had std, remus and twinmotorcycles exhausts.
The remus is awful, sounds ok but bike ran terribly. TM torque hammer was great, but not the prettiest.
