hi all i had a bad crash replaced everything that was bad. felt like trans was slipping like the clutch wasn't disengaging all the way so i got the ebr secondary clutch actuator. had some trans noise and after i bled the clutch a million times it went away. then my belt broke. got a new one still slipping at high rpm's. i think the clutch is fine and maybe its the tensioner? the belt is pretty tight but i think it should b tighter. i replaced the rear belt sprocket it was damaged. HELP so sick of it not working!

Any wear on the belt teeth? If they are not tore up its not slipping.

ya i think it got tore up from the old sprocket but now that i have a new one on it should b good but still feels like slipping so after reading a bunch of other posts im going to take the spring out of the ebr actuator and undo the nut 3/4 turn see if that stops it from slipping

American Sportbike lists CR belts. Probably other sponsors too. eBay seems like a crap shoot for a belt. I think I'd just try and get a new one if you think that is the issue.

Toms. Let me see if I understand you: you crashed, replaced parts with parts from eBay, but didn't know that drive parts were different between r and cr, you have a cr but bought a r swing arm(?). I also believe that The r and cr sprockets are different also(haven't had a chance to check my parts manual)

You probably should get a parts manual.

Toms I would get with a dealer and fix your bike correctly.

lol i have a manual yes i got an r swing arm i was told they were the same. but i read on here that the cr is 5mm shorter. which makes sense because my belt is just a tiny bit loose. the sprokets are diff i got the rite one. i dont have money to get bike fixed at a dealer. i do all my own work. thanx guys. i guess my only option is to get the right swing arm. or an r belt r tensioner and r sprocket witch im not going to do because i just bought a cr sprocket and cr belt. thanx again looking for a used swing arm for a cr if anyone noes where to get one i checked on twin motorcycles and ebay no luck.

I am sure someone can chime in, but people do cr to r swing arm swaps. I don't have time to look for the thread ATM.

IIRC I thought that the CR arm was LONGER?
The rear "sprocket" was also larger the CR is geared "deeper"

the R has longer legs than the CR. with 18,000 miles on my CR I could see having longer legs on the bike. keep going, you are more than 1/2 way to an R conversion; sprocket, belt, and tensioner pulley.

Essentially, the "R" is one gear taller than a "CR".
So where the CR tops out - the R still has another gear another 1-1.5 Krpm .
