Not looking for recommendations. What to know where track/racers are getting their pads from.

Want to know where everyone is getting their pads, let me go one step further and say I'm not interested in ebc pads or ebay as a response.

I want a pad for A pace track riding, that are going to last more than 1 day.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

2015 compound pads seem to wear pretty good for me, but I'm street riding only at this point. Maybe 5k miles on a set of them so far and I like them, although they're a bit spendy.

I purchase the Vesrah pads through EBR. Typically get 4 track days at "A" pace out of a set.

However... The life of the pads will depend on the tracks you ride.

EBR has the best options, IMHO. I run the 2015. I've tried both the Vesrah XX and 2015, and for me, there's no question which is better. 2015 = great bite and durability.

The Vesrah want to bed themselves in to work best, so be sure to start with a clean rotor if you try them.

Apparently SBS has a new pad in testing. I've not tried them.

EBR.

I like the Vesrah, I just seem to like the feel better than the 2015.
But the 2015 seems to have a bit better longevity.

I was running the sbs rs pads at VIR S and destroyed them, down to the metal in less than 1.5 days.

SBS has a DS pad that isn't available in the states, but EBR team runs them: according to mphbikes.com

Was planning on doing the whole set up: rotor, hardware, pads when I do it this time.

I have heard the same from a correlating source I would tend to believe.

Yes, they had to buy them in bulk and do some machining to get them to work. I wouldn't expect to see them anytime soon.

I run the 2015.

What dates will you be at VIR? I live 50 minutes from the track but haven't signed-up for any May dates yet. Would be fun to be out there with another Buell.

Kruizen - that's the same set-up I'm running - you should see a marked difference for the better. (5mm finned rotor, 2015 pads, EBR mounting kit)

not too far off topic:

what are you using for a master cylinder?

OEM, Accossato, Brembo, UJM, or ???

Already did the brembo 19-20(arent making it anymore) a while back, and the 18-20 RCS brembo clutch.

I'll be at the June dates with NESBA as well. Shouldn't be too hard to find each other since there typically aren't many Buells at the track.

See you there

Holy crap you set the bike up short! I'm showing 13mm above the EBR triple, and that's after AK-Gas set up for an extra 5mm of travel!

JD - last year's photo - been adjusted somewhat since, closer to what I had at ECR last fall. The set up in that shot is pretty close to original factory fork length below bottom triple.

Ok everything came in today. What's the best way to bed in the pads with the new rotor? Won't have those rims back on until the next track day, and am not going to put the 2015's on until then either.

If we are talking about new 2015s and a new rotor, you can do a couple of hard stops on an out lap and call it good.

Grip comes in fast.
