First time doing the engine rotation on the CR and so far everything hasn't been hard.
Got everything apart and shimmed correctly and am on the way back together.

What a PITA, how they heck do you get the freakn K bracket bolts to line up.

I knew when they came out it wasnt going to be fun going back together but WTF, I can even get the holes to line up.

I took the other main engine bolts out, not the pivot but the ones mid engine and used my jack to pick the motor up but it just wants to pick the whole bike up.
I am 2 sec away from getting out the hammer drill and putting 2 lags in the floor so I can strap the bike down.

I might try wrapping a ratchet strap around it all and pull the motor up that way next but I wont get back at it till tonight.

any pointers from guys that have done this?

never done it, but BFH always works when things don't want to fit back together.

Make sure the K brackets are loose at all points.
If the motor won't slide up high enough to get the center support bolts in something is in the way.

I had the center bolts in and slightly snugged and the K-brackets we a full bolt hole off.
So I actually pulled the center bolts out, rotated back down a little to make sure something wasnt in the way and went back up as far as I could and the center bolt hole was a little high and still not lining up in the K-brackets.

it was also picking the bike up. Might need some sand bags or a buddy to sit on the back of the bike and hold it down.

weighting the bike sounds like you are half way there.

The 2 times I've done Loretta, I put 120-140 lbs of iron and lead on the pillion.

I just had the wife hold the back of the bike as I VERY slowly lifted the engine back up an inch at a time. Worked beautifully. So is the wife. Lol! I never had a problem with K bracket lining up. The biggest PITA I encountered was lining up the front muffler bolts.

Always do the following:
When in doubt double check the Service Manual.
When frustrated, walk away & resume work later with a cool head.
NEVER EVER force anything in place.
Go slow, be patient, take your time.
It's easier than it really seems but you must follow directions almost precisely and in proper order.

Well got it and made the wife feel GREAT at the same time.

Had her sit on it and she didn't weight enough and it was still picking up off the rear stand so I had to strap it down to about 100lbs of misc steal and parts I had in the shop.

Still A PITA, had to take the left Rad off to get a punch in the hole and get it all lined up perfect as I wiggled everything around.

Also moving my jack from the middle of the motor to just under the oil cooler helped a bunch too.

Rouge_ - I did had taken you advice a few times and just walk away for 10 min, have a beer and think about it.

Thanks for some incite guys.
Now I just need to finish it all up.
