Where or who sells a replacement stator for an 08 model bike? My bike is coming up with voltage error.

Your stator is probably fine, get it tested along with the battery before doing anything drastic.

Did you do some basic trouble shooting to identify the stator as the issue?

The problem could be the VR, stator, wiring issue or battery.

Outright replacements for a stator would be a Buell friendly H-D shop. There are some dealers that support this forum that, I'm sure, can do mail order.

It's probably better though to send it in to a reputable rewinder like Custom Rewind in the USA or Twin Motorcycles in the Netherlands.

Its an original battery. That was the first thing on my list to get checked out. I am hoping for it to be simple....lol

My 08 was having a lot of of voltage errors at the end of the summer. I thought it was the stator but when I tested it I had good numbers. Tried the battery and it still came back. I figured only thing left was the voltage regulater. I bought a compufire one like some of the guys with 09 have. No problems now but it has gone down to 12.9 at a long light. But when I take off I get low 14 quick. My bike has 28k.

I took all grounds off and cleaned them too. I read that they can cause problems too.

My bike has around 5000 miles on it. I bought it new out of the shipping crate and this is the only problem I have and it started just a month ago. Haven't gotten to checking wires or battery yet since my surgery and heart problems.

Quite likely it's just the battery.
Mine is still the original, but I'm rarely on Loretta.
She gets more tender-time than miles lately. : (

5 years is the "bell curve" 3Db high-side for this particular battery.
