Just an FYI, Speed TV has race recaps for this season's races. They are about five minutes long and do a pretty good job of highlighting the race. Save the Homestead 1 race for last, it is a real hoot!

Jgarner99 - Is MOTOGP the same as AMA?

-all-
Did you notice the front wheel at 58 seconds? :-)

Dannybuell,
Your original question didn't say anything about MotoGP, hence the several other replies to the same effect.
Yeah, the first thing that pops up when you click on the link is MotoGP, but there's a whole bunch of AMA Superbike clips on the same page, just waiting for you to click them, so how was I supposed to read your mind? Maybe I just wasn't picking up the telepathy in your oh-so-intelligent post.
Speaking of which, the answer is that the 1190RS would get lapped in about 10 laps, or less, even with the best rider on board.

EBR FTW but the 1190rs can't compete in motogp as is. The crank on a gp bike costs more then an 1190rs.

Jgarner99 ~ Yes, I just went to the first video presented. I have seen most of the AMA clips already. 10 laps huh? wow!

Depends on the track, of course.
The difference in lap times at Laguna Seca is about 5 to 6 seconds (between an AMA Superbike and a full-on MotoGP bike), so at Laguna, it would take about 20 laps before the EBR was lapped.
At some of the higher-speed tracks (Nurburgring, Motegi) it would happen much, much quicker.
Sorry to be so snarky. Too much work and not enough play lately....

I've been working so much that even my math has suffered. At Laguna, lapping under 1:21 on a MotoGP bike, it would take Lorenzo or Pedrosa 15 or 16 laps to come around and lap Josh Hayes' on his 1:25 to 1:26 lap-time AMA Superbike. A lap or two less for the EBR.
It's not just a matter of money, though: The MotoGP bikes are like Formula 1 cars -- all race pedigree with not a drop of street engineering. Comparing Superbikes to MotoGP is like comparing Nascar to Formula 1. Both fast, but two different worlds.
