My fuel and engine light stay on for about 2 miles, then go off, what is the bike trying to tell me because it runs just fine?

That's not too big of a problem.

I think it might be the beginning of an issue though if the LFL does not illuminate when the bike is low on fuel and you run out of gas.

So, you might want to test this scenario by riding with a measured amount of fuel and guestimating when it should "go on reserve" in order to find out if the LFL still works as it should.

I can confirm this as I ran out of gas last Friday on the way to work. When my CR shut off as I was on the way to work without any CEL or anything I was like, WTF?

I'm told that a new cluster with the 6.2 software should fix it along with the low fuel light coming on at cooler ambient temps.

Thankfully my boss came and picked me up, then we got some gas and the CR fired right up!

The fuel light is a known quirk of this bike. I have always filled up by the odometer. I ran a little longer than I originally planned last weekend. I saw my fuel light for the first time. It did not turn off for several miles after I filled up. I thought it broke! haha.

I have discussed this problem at length several times.
Here's a link to one of the early posts where I discovered the two different failure modes -

If you do a badweb search, in the 1125 forum for "LFL CEL" you will get over 70 returns.

If you still have questions, feel free to PM me.
