First post, Excellent site. I just recently purchased an 2009 1125R from the AMA. I have a couple of questions after my second ride. I've had other Buells before but never an 1125R. My questions are what temp should the fans come on? mine seam to always be on from 165 to 200. Next question, The clutch doesn't seam to engage till the very end of the travel is this normal? The clutch still works good but the engagement has me wondering. Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated. | ||

I believe those are both normal. My clutch has always been that way, fans too. They will sometimes run a little while after you turn it off also. | ||

re clutch Check for a leak as some do. Also check amount of fluid in reservoir as it will go down and need fluid as clutch wears. | ||

Thanks, That's what I thought, But it's always nice to get a second opinion from somebody that has some time on there 1125R. | ||

+1 Rat the low resevior and/or seal leaking will cause this symptom. i would buy the ebr clutch slave thingy I did easy as pir to put in world of diferance | ||

Fluid is full and no leaks. | ||

On Loretta, my 08, fans come on around 170 dF and go off around 160 dF. Friction zone on her is 1/3-1/4 the travel of my 09 Uly, with a cable clutch. It took me a while to get used to it, smaller zone but very precise and consistent. Z |
