Hello all! New to the buell world, just recently purchase a 2009 all white Buell 1125 w 549 Miles on it, basically new. Just modded my muffler by Randy, looking into getting some Frame sliders, Axle sliders, Pucks protectors however, I have no clue as to where to get these items. I am also in need of a fender eliminator. Need a bike Bike stand as well, lots of stuff but basic. If anyone could recommend a solid place w web links as to where I can purchase all the above that would be helpful~!

Thanks to all in advance

Many will tell you to get the EBR ecm. I have the exact same bike, color and all. It feels like I am riding a bull that's trying to throw me off at low speeds, which makes me want to sell it at times because I don't ride the bike very fast and the majority of my low speed riding feels like the bike is fighting me. Maybe the ecm will fix these problems. If you have not had this problem, it will soon rear it's head. Other than that it's a great bike.

I have one just like her. Mine is named Banshee Betty. Why? 'Cause she's hot like Betty Page and screams like a banshee! Hope you have as much fun with yours as I have had with mine!

Two-seasons - that Uhaul trailer is CHEAP to rent! I actually hauled BOTH my S2 and my XB9 in one - towed it behind my crappy Dodge Stratus.

DO IT

Welcome to the madness. My 1125R is the same colour etc as yours..clearly the best looking colour combo!!!!!!

Get the EBR ecm. I fitted one when I added the barker exhaust and..what a difference. Also look at the saddleman seat..i got a tech one and it is so much more comfortable than stock..other than that..ride it like you stole it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't try to ride a sport bike at 2k rpms.
No sport bike is going to be happy at those RPMs.

I can tell you from experience that the EBR ECM makes a huge difference, imagine the guy that designed the bike gets to tune the ECM without EPA input. Oh wait, that's exactly what the EBR ECM is.
I got better MPG withe the EBR ECM, and the bike has more power throughout the range. The bike runs 15 degrees cooler, and it is tuned for my FMF pipe.

In regards to the EBR ECM, who tunes the bikes for better results the Harley dealership or any sport bike mechanic w a dyno?

How much does the ECM cost? Definitely need to change a few things on the bike, for now this bike will be my speed toy, I miss riding fast. My street glide is an awesome bike and honestly I am looking to do a few major mods on it as well. Go from a 103 to a 110 or 113, get a 2 into 1 exhaust and possibly a stage 2 software. Man, bikes are so much fun that you are always doing mods to them. Your never satisfied! Well, at least I'm not! : )

A pre-tuned EBR ecm is $305 (last time I looked) plus shipping. If there isn't a tune available for the pipe you have, then your options are limited to tuning it yourself or having it done by a shop. That $750 ecm is meant for the more serious racer (in my opinion anyway) and has a LOT of options that you can't get elsewhere.

Pre-programmed ecm for some systems, but not all. They're working on another one of mine.

Nice, thats a way better price than a whopping $750 which I don't think it worth the cost especially for me because I am NOT a professional racer just a hobbyist who loves speed!

Welcome to the 1125 world. FWIW, I would do the EBR ecm. My '08 used to drop a cylinder and always ran hot with the stock ecm. It got much worse after I put the Barker's exhaust on her. All the problems went away with the EBR set-up, and the bike goes like a SOB. It seems as though the price has gone up since I bought mine, but still well worth the money. You have purchased a unique machine. The more you learn about it, the more fun you'll have.
Stay safe on the job, Brother.

No, but it's nice to have the option creeping forward in traffic, or in 15mph zones that are enforced. It's a "nice to have" when you're going slowly.

The stock EBR ECU ($305) is a much better option than the stock ECU - even with the stock pipe. It fuels the bike SO much better - I described it as "adding a third cylinder" when I installed mine shortly after getting the motorcycle.

I haven't seen anyone post about stands yet. I'd highly recommend the Pit Bull stands. They've got a custom rear "cradle" stand that works quite nicely for the 1125s - their normal rear stand is not quite wide enough.

http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16131.html

I have their front stand as well:

http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5589.html

They are expensive, but I think they're absolutely worth the money. They're made in America, and they are absolutely the most rugged track stands I've ever seen. They come with a label that says "This stand will outlast your motorcycle" - I believe it! I fully expect they'll be around long after I am - they're that solid.

The other thing you really should consider if you're riding on the street is the XBLights rear LED tail light.

http://www.xblights.net/

Don't let the "LED Tail light" bit fool you - these are insanely brighter than anything else you'll find. LED replacement bulbs, 2010 tail lights, whatever - they pale in comparison to the XBLight module. There is ZERO doubt you're stopping with these things installed. I've got this on both of my "big Buells" with the flasher module option, and it's been worth every penny. People don't tailgate as closely, and it's clearly visible from a mile away that I'm stopping. They're expensive, but they're a whole lot cheaper than being rear ended, and as compared to the stock tail light, they're 1000x more visible. It's insane how much of a difference they make.

Unless they changed it in the last 15 seconds, the price I saw was $305 + shipping.

I have a Barker with EBR ECM. This combination really wakes the bike up. The EBR ecm does not have the sharpness of torque during up or down shifts that the stock ECM gives. The ECM's free revving nature actually makes for quicker riding. EBR has ECM tunes for the stainless KEDA.

get the seat pins from American Sport Bike!

At the bottom of the main screen is a folder (left column) titled "New 1125R/CR Owner Information", this is a good read.

I already change my rear tail light to an LED light so I'm good there, also, Randy Hawkins modified my exhaust so I got that out of the way. I ordered a bike stand from amazon called Pit Boss, hopefully that stand will work. I also ordered the License Plate Eliminator and new oil filter. What oil brand or type do you guys recommend? I purchase the bike w ONLY 549 miles on it so I know the previous owner never changed the stock oil. Thanks to all for all the positive info

Amsoil 20W-50 is what I use.

Whatever you do, DO NOT overfill your 1125. With filter, it takes 2.8 liters or 3 quarts. Change it, add that amount, then change it again and check consumption by dumping the old oil into the new empty bottles (funnel helps) to see what, if any, consumption you are doing with x,xxx miles.

Two_seasons,

That is NOT correct.

An 08 takes 2.8 quarts, an 09 or 10 takes more, I think about 3.5 quarts.

The OP has an 09.

+1 on amsoil 20W-50, It makes my bike shift so much smoother.
Remember the 1125 only has one fill hole, the oil you put in runs through the Engine and transmission.

So why does the 09/10 take more? FWIW, I have an 09 and run the cold level/bike on two stands a bit below the overfill mark which seems like about 3 1/4 qts. All is good.
