Hey guys,
i have a 2008 1125R and last week my cluster was changed to a 2010 type because the old one had black bleeding points.
Til yet the original ECM is installed (cause all changes was made in warranty, so i changed my EBR ECM back to the original one before i drove to the dealer).

Today i started my bike to travel around my block... and first i recognized is, that if i loosen the clutch lever the bike automatically get higher revs (approx. up to 3000 rpmīs) - without touching the throttle !! (is that a choke function while the cluster writes "COLD" ?)

With the old cluster, that it was never before..

It feels like an improvement, cause the bike wonīt drop down the rpmīs and get forward much smoother..

Is this normal with the 2010 cluster?!
Will this "function" still be available if i change back to my EBR ECM ?!

Thanks!
regards
Kevin

interesting - mine did never ... maybe you got newer ecm update like mine before i drove to the dealer? (i donīt know if he made an update too, cause on saturday the mechanics are not @ the dealer...

hmmm...

does anyone know if the EBR ECM does the clutch reving with the 2010 cluster? or is this only a ECM story ?!

I believe the action you describe is in the flash in the ECM.
Quite likely the dealership loaded the latest flash in your ECM when you got the new IC.

Most likely will NOT be there when you replace the ECM with your EBR one.

ok, i will change it tomorrow, so we will see ... hmm,
does anyone know if there is a EBR ECM update available with automatically clutch reving, or EBR will not do this, to smooth out the lower rpm`s ?!

From what I understand all stock ECM's have this, it's to aid you in pulling off, my microswitch was broken on my clutch lever(I did not know this) and therefore my stock ECM never new the clutch was pulled in so the revs never rose, I found that I quite often stalled and the bike wouldn't start up again unless I was in neutral.

After a bit of research I fixed my microswitch and it made a great improvement. I now have a EBR ECM and it does raise the revs but only a small amount, and as the "COLD" doesn't flash up anymore either it doesn't rev up high like the stock ECM does.

Easy way to understand this is to pull the multiplug off your clutch switch. You'll soon plug it back in.
