The Barker will work fine but the tune is easy to get. |

In a word, NO. Every exhaust out there will run on the stock ecm, but eventually EVERY one will throw an error code, even mine. The stock ecm was set lean to meet EPA mandated standards, changing the exhaust to anything other than stock will require more fueling changes than the stock ecm can handle. |

Stock ECM? Even with the stock exhaust, the race ECU is worth every penny! Do that before replacing the pipe, IMO. |

What Dean said. I ran a Barker for several months and then one warm day out on the road the check engine light popped. There was no going back after that, it never stopped. I bought an EBR ECM and haven't looked back since. |

I bought my drummer right away, I've put about 12k on it since, never seen a CEL, and it's on a stock tune yet. |

Yes it might work, but is it optimal......no. You really have no idea what your missing by not having that race ECM. |

Today was my third ride with a new stock ECM and the Barkers. It was a little cooler today than the first couple of rides - about 66. It had some backfire rumbling during closed throttle that weren't there during the other rides. I may switch back to my EBR ECM even though it runs nice in the lower RPMs with the new stock ECM. |

I went for a few months on a Barker no issues, then one warm day on a somewhat more spirited run with friends the CEL popped on. Was pretty much of an issue after that. The only thing I can think is that as my confidence increased I became a bit more aggressive and passed some threshold to where it became an issue. The EBR ECM - Barker combination makes for a much more powerful ride. If you an afford stainless, D_adams KEDA mufflers are very nice. KEDA has several models. The RT-4 is my favorite a modified x-pipe with dual cans.... |

Just curious. How long before a slip-on throws an error code? I had 1k+ miles on my stock ECM w/FMF slip-on with no issues. YMMV, Nels |
