Well, I'm almost 100% sure it *was* my "B" bike that I sold.

If he gets his ask, he stands to make a nice profit. Good luck to him.

It's mine. I rode a friends RC8 recent;y and fell in love with it. I can't have both so I'm toying with selling the buell. I'm only letting it go if I can get what I'm asking though, which I really doubt is going to happen lol. I don't mind keeping it! The bike is a blast!

Jim put together a great bike!

What did you do with the slicks? Those were in fantastic condition when I sold the bike...

I've ridden an rc8r and am curious as to what you liked better about it compared to the 1125. The KTM had far superior brakes and the suspension felt good but it was down on grunt compared to the 1125. I didn't get to hit the KTM's top end during my test ride so presumably that's where it comes into its own.

I still have them Jim. If I don't sell the bike I'll use them for a track day after I get a suit.

Rocket- The brakes on the RC8R were excellent. I definitely didn't think the power was lacking, but then again I got to take the bike to redline. I also just really like the aesthetics of the RC8 a lot.

Come out with us next year! I'm instructing formally with one of the local track day operators, and we have a nice L1 program with good classroom and on-track instruction.

I'm running those same slicks on my Honda 600, and getting 8-10 track days out of them running an L1 and L2 pace instructing!

They are tough as nails, and still offer knee dragging grip! I run them without warmers! Amazing...

(seriously)

BTW: The suspension on that bike is probably a bit better than a standard RC8. The Showa fork kits and shock are good pieces. Have you set the sag or dialed it in a bit for you yet?

Definitely will have too this coming season, I've got the itch for sure. Glad to hear they are great tires!

I've played with the settIngs a little bit and softened them up slightly for street use, but I left them pretty firm. I've never liked soft suspension anyway and the stance it has right now is perfect. It doesn't dive too much on hard braking.

Ultimately, it *should*. At a track pace, not street pace, though.

The 1125r likes the front loaded going into a corner. Though you have to put in a bit of extra bar pressure, it will turn in better with the forks compressed.

That bike was sprung for my weight, and then I used the preload to get it so I would leave about 1/2" of tube on the hardest braking zone at the track.
