I know there are many threads on the extended warranty. I remember hearing that the prices went up. I was wondering if anyone knew what the new prices are for the factory extended warranty. I do not want the tire and wheel coverage, just the warranty.

Depends on the length of warranty. You can get 1 year, up to 5 years I think. Longer ones are cheaper overall.

Interesting... I'm coming up on the end of my 2 year. I thought it was a lot more. $1200 would be worth it.

1200 gets you 4 years here. Some dealers prices vary.

1200 was an old price for XB models. Tell the dealer that 1125 is non-XB model, and the price should be lower.

From what I read here, '09's have stator issues only.

Personally, I think you're throwing your $$$ away.

Two yeah that's pretty much the truth on extended warranties in general you're betting on failure. sure they are machines and thus will fail but will they fail badly enough or often enough to warrant the expense? doubtful. there have only been a handful of engines that blew up under 'normal' conditions. yes there is the stator thing for the 9-10 units but there is a reasonably priced after market for that.

otherwise that's a lot of $$ to spend on gas and tires and farkles

Warranty already paid for a replacement motor for myself, and I haven't even had much of a chance to break in the new one... gonna try and extend my warranty if I can.

lucky? lol had to do it

yeah then you're one of the handful. and if i were you i am sure i'd do the same thing you're trying to. given my experience with my 08 it would be $ wasted.
