Made it about 11-12k miles since the last one. This makes #5 I think. Looks like ebr is sold out at the moment as well, so this may end my riding season a bit earlier than I wanted by a couple of months.

I'm a bit bummed about it, thought for sure this one was the ” fix” for the leaks.

I have the Erik Buell Racing kit, but my bike has been down for an electrical issue. I'll post up a review when I have a chance to install it.

It's a nice looking part, that's for sure.

(I've not had a seal leak with the "fix", though.)

Dean, did your bike have the X2086.1AM kit? Mine has had that kit for 18,000 miles without issue so far.

Yeah, had the latest one available. I figured it would last a while longer than it did. It was installed maybe a year ago or so. Lever pressure is still there, but I know it's just a matter of time now since it's started weeping.

Cant you just keep putting fluid in and keep riding till you can get one? How bad is the weep?

Mine's weeping after the fix, hasn't bothered me so far - I just keep track of the fluid level & will have it dealt with next time I'm in.

Not a bad idea to keep a few sets of seals around, though...

I went to HeeBeeArr to order one for when mine fails (my thinking is that if I have a spare, I won't have any problems) and saw they were sold out. The initial offering sure got gobbled up fast. I'd be curious as to who has acquired and mounted so far and whether it is intended as performance upgrade or a just as a weep fix.

Pretty sure the ebr part is an upgrade with better performance. I probably would have bought one if it were available. Called the local dealer, it's all warranty stuff anyway. They said no slots available until the 27th for repairs. Looks like I'll be waiting for a bit.

My Rev C fix lasted all of 6 weeks (2500 km or so) before leaking all over the place...
Think they rushed the install and botched it badly.
Sitting at about 3000 km since the second install.

Dean - I probably misstated my question. A sold, it is listed as performance upgrade. My question should have been: "Did you buy it as a performance upgrade or as a weep fix?" (or both, I guess). Lots of folks having weep issues and I wondered whether the HeeBeeArr part kills two birds with one stone.

I didn't get to buy it, it was sold out at the time. I've since called the dealer and notified them that it's leaking again. I'm using my warranty for everything I can at this point, I paid for it. I realize that it will probably leak again in the future with this revision, but at least I know ebr has a replacement available at a reasonable cost. From what I gathered, it's a drop in part and performs better than any of the fixes thus far. I'm also going on the assumption that it fixes the leak at the same time, it appears to be a pretty nicely built unit.

Erik Buell Racing can't compete with Harley, they can only sell "upgrades" or performance parts. So they say it is a performance piece, but my guess is it will also fix the leak. I think they had to word it like they did for legal reasons.

The Erik Buell Racing part is back in stock if anyone is interested. I just ordered one and will give a review once it arrives.

Gotta love the extended warranty. New clutch slave kit, front rotor, m/c piston kit, blinker AND a new I/C.

Guess thats all for now. Still might buy the ebr clutch unit anyway.

Mine just started leaking for the first time yesterday at 8,000 miles. I'm still under warranty also and just going to wait till next spring to worry about it.

So I'm getting ready to walk out of work, guess who called? Yep, the dealer. Everything is already in, IC, new front rotor w/hardware, brake m/c piston, clutch kit and a rear turn signal. I know I had seen the IC was on backorder for months. I am flat out amazed that it all showed up as quickly as it did.

Now I need to either have them pick it up or go drop it off asap.

Unbelieveable! Already done and back home with the bike. Gateway HD came through for me today. Only one day of downtime.

Buzzie, THANKS!
