WOW... after looking around a bit more it seems I just completely missed this and there are youtube videos from 2008...

I would really like a quieter exhaust that dosen't look so aftermarket.

Trojan Horse.UK used to carry the Saron exhaust but has since discontinued the line. From what I recall they were quite pricey. Not sure if they are still available anymore. I would drop Saron an email or give them a call even!

I have this exhaust. Have had it since about December '08 just after I bought my '09 1125R. It is an assume exhaust if you ask me. I got it thru Trojan horse. They still sell them there just not advertised cuz they don't carry them on the shelf anymore. If I remember correctly with the exchange rate back in '08 I paid about $1100 with shipping and I believe he has quoted someone pretty close to that recently. Check there page under Trojan horse I'm in Cali and I love the exhaust. To me it's not really that loud

One of my friends at buellmotards.com has this exhaust on his R, it's pretty loud nice sound! It comes with almost useless dbKiller, in Spain the sound emissions are very regulated, so he needs to make a custom home-made dbKiller.

This exhaust was used in BBQ series races.
And something that I was heard is this is not very durable due to his thin metallic body, is a race exhaust system.

We used to buy the Saron pipes in from a distributor in Germany. Unfortunately they stopped supplying parts for Buells and although we did import a couple direct from Saron it wasn't really viable and we waited a LONG time for them to come.

In the end we just stopped getting them : (
It may be possible to get them still from the manufacturer in Slovakia, but you would have to contact them direct I think.

It was a VERY good exhaust in terms of power and overall performance but was loud : ) We never had a particular problem with durability with these pipes.

> whats inconel ?

It's a nickle alloy used in high temp, pressure and caustic chemical processing. It's a very nice metal, even though it's heavy.

I have some disc springs made from the stuff for use on the brake rotors. They don't anneal (loose their spring at operating temps) like the steel Erik Buell Racing parts do. Very expensive, though. (several dollars a piece instead of cents.)

as above, used for f1 car headers etc, will stand repeated heat cycles unlike Ti, so you can use a thinner gauge, you have to roll tubes from sheet though so its an expensive process

If I remember correctly, that was one of the very first 1125 aftermarket exhausts.
It kinda faded away when everyone else started putting out exhausts.

Different variations of Inconel are also used heavily in gas turbine (jet) engines.

Inconel exhausts are the cure all for twin engine turbocharged Cessna exhaust systems they are at least double the cost of a stainless system.
