I will be needing new tires in the near future. I am looking at the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's over the Rosso's cause of the price. Anyone gone to the different two? I am looking for the Pro's and Con's of the tires over the Corsa III. Second, I am looking to go from the stock 180/55-17 to 190/55-17. I will keep the front the same as stock, just looking to go up on the rear. Any help is appreciated! | ||

The stock size rear in a 2CT looks huge! I just installed a pair of 2CT's and they handle amazingly. My only complaint is that the front end feels loose while traveling at freeway speeds i.e. above and around 65 mph. I am hoping that with a little more aggressive break in that the front will settle down.  | ||

The michelin 2cts are pointier than the corsas. the fast turn in nature of pointier tires like the 2cts takes getting used to. I like them. | ||

Me too. I am now running Road 3 front and back and like them too...great grip and better, more even wear. | ||

im running 190/55 2cts after i ran the 180. i like the 190 better seems just as nimble and a little more stable, i also dont get anywhere near the edge either now, rubbed the michelin man off the 180 and scratched the peg on the 190 before the edge | ||

I am running the Dunlop RoadSmarts and am very happy with them. Yes they are a "sport-touring" tire, not the SportSmarts, but for the street I'm plenty satisfied. No idea how they would do on a track day, but I ran through the original tires in under two thousand miles, mich. road 2 in 2600m, and the pilot power in just over one thousand. So far I've got 1600 on the Dunlops and they've scrubbed in nicely on the sides and the middle looks almost new. Don't know the pricing comparison though. | ||

On my 5th or 6th set of Bridgestone BT016's. Used them on the XB12R Firebolt and now on my 1125R. Consistent turn in, stays leaned under braking, confidence inspiring stickiness at aggressive cornering, and good tire life (dual compound rear means the front will wear first). Finally, they cost less than the Dunlops and Michelins! | ||

Be careful - SOME 190 will hit the swingarm at higher speeds. realize that you're going to grow AT LEAST a 1/4 inch - and some, depending on construction can grow 1/2 inch Found that out the hard way on Higbee's 1125 with the stock swingarm at Willow Springs! | ||

Wouldn't going to a 190/50 instead of a 190/55 be a better option on this bike? That is if you like the 190. I rode a firebolt with a 190 and i didn't like it at all. | ||

I went with 190/55 after finding the ebr 1125 dsb ran it on a stock sized rim. I haven't gotten the time to run southeast yet. There are some small highways following canyons around me that I've almost worn out, just gotta know where to look. Surprised me when I did it. I'm a little disappointed though I can't rub the Michelin man off now. | ||

The 190/55 AMA spec tire isn't as wide as several other 190 tires are. | ||

I have had 1 or 2 180s and 1 190 corsa III, 1 pilot power 2ct, and either 1 or 2 Bt016s and currently a pilot road 2, I like the Bt016 the best and would suggest looking for the bt016 pro, I am waiting for my current tire to wear out to upgrade to those. Bridgestone says the pros last 20% longer, have marginally better dry traction/handling and much improved wet traction/handling compared to the standard bt016. I will be sticking with the 180, no real benefit for the added cost of the 190. Hope this helps. | ||

Bt-016's for $225 shipped from jakewilson. 7k+ miles out of the rear when commuting, probably 10k+ on the front. Just ordered another set a couple of days ago. | ||

BT016 are hard to mount with a manual tire changer, that's my main complaint of them. The Pirelli and Michelin products have a softer carcass, and it makes a huge difference. | ||

It only takes about 5 minutes of cussing and screaming to get mine on.... Lil bit o' lube don't hurt either. | ||
