Title says it all -- what's the best way of getting that sticker off of there? |

Denatured alcohol and elbow grease. |

Actually, if you peel up a corner, and peel very slowly, you can get it off with having to scrub it off. Maybe use a razor blade to lift it back up if it starts tearing. I did mine with about 15 minutes of slow, controlled peeling. It's like watching water boil, but it works. Then you just hit it up with a little alcohol to clean up any sticky residue left. No elbow grease required. |

the hotter a sticker is, the easier it usually is to remove |

Use a hairdryer to soften it up and peel off. |

Take the bike to the car wash and wash her, then take the sprayer and angle it to get under the sticker. That's how mine usually come off without even trying |

WD-40 works wonders for getting the sticky stuff left over. |

Just curious, am I the only one that leaves the stickers on? My mirrors still have the adjustment sticker too. |

I would bet de-stickering is first day ritual for 90% of owners. That being said, I have seen some pics here of well-modded 1125Rs, as well as 1125R track/racebikes, with the stickers left on. Just funny, going thru all the meticulous mods, then leaving the swingarm sticker on... |

Why not Geoff represented mid-Ohio on the 1190 with stickers on his swing arm |

I feel it looks empty and missing something without them. |

you could put the calvin peeing or the no fear stickers to make up for it. |

Geoff ought to get some custom stickers made up for the swingarm:
quote:Warning, this is a race bike, not a street legal motorcycle. (It's 25 pounds too heavy to be our street bike.)

I never had to take mine off. The dealer just put my bike together out of the crate and I bought it. The warning stickers are still in the owners manual. Lol |

> It's 25 pounds too heavy to be our street bike. I think the street bike is heavier... it's the race trim that's lighter than AMA spec. According to the web site, the street trim bike is almost 390 lbs. I think even my 1125r is lighter than that in race trim... When you shed all that useless street shit, you save a LOT of weight. |
