Style of riding you do will be a huge factor in your choice of tire, and it will certainly help everyone with the suggestions you are requesting too.

How are your current tires wearing?

I ran the corsa 3's for 7.5k cause apparently i ride like a pansie... ; ) hehehe.

Switched to the PR3's to see how i like them - so far so good. seem to warm up quick and good grip, but i definitely don't burn through the edges before the center like some of you guys.

My riding is street primarily, with some spirited canyon riding, and an unfortunate amount of time in traffic commuting... so trying for something a bit longer lasting in the center with still good grip on the edges.

It should be good to get a comparison of tires, and next maybe some Dunlop Q2's...

Or if the PR3's don't work out i'll likely go back to the Diablo's (corsa likely or maybe even supercorsa). Great confidence leaned over on the D3's.

It's hard to get bad tires from the top 3 (ones intended for a sportbike), so GL!

The Michelin 2ct tires are fantastic. Excellent grip, and the front end feels so much better than with the Pirellis. I couldnt believe how much different (and better) the bike felt when I mounted them.

These are definitely sport tires though, not high mileage tourers.

I dont have a lot of experience - I put pilot powers on the bike after the pirellis and i LOVE THEM. Bike falls over so much easier now, a lot less work.
Seems be wearing as well/the same as the Corsa.

I might go to CT2s next though

Bridgestone BT-016's. Good grip for novice track days, excellent wear for street. I've seen over 7500 miles on several rears, my bike and an RSV1000. Even more on the front, 10k+.

Have ran the Dulop Q2, and do not care for them, I don't care for the Pirelli's either. Ran the Power Pure's and they have been great, the lighter weight make a huge difference, and they have worn well. Just mounted a set of BT003's will find out how they perform when I pick the bike up Friday after the 6th stator in finished being installed.

Boogi:I am real curious to know how many miles you got out of your Corsa III tires? I got about 4,700 out of my rear and at 6,500 my front is almost done.

5300 for the rear i think, that was about 800-1000 to many though i was bare corded all the way around it. the front i got i think about 10-12k out of it.

i am very mindful of pressures and dont ride very aggressively cornering wise i do tend to track jailable speeds frequently though. i weigh 240 before i suit up

For your type of Riding style the Dunlop road smart would be your best bet the centers last forever got 10k out of a rear on my xb.

I have to agree with Rt...a sport touring tire may be more to your liking...
installed Bridgestone's BT-023 on my little SV before I sold her...coming off of Dunlop Qualifiers... it was hard to tell difference on the street.

here's a review of the Stone's:
http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/402/6841/Motorcycle- Article/Bridgestone-BT-023-Tire-Review.aspx

If you want to stay true to Pirelli...
here's a review of the "angel"
http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/402/4716/Motorcycle- Article/Pirelli-Angel-ST-Tire-Review.aspx

a very hard tire almost cruiser like is Metzler's ME880 series - I have one on my Vstrom since it usually is my freeway bike - I believe Metzler also made them for BMW's K1300s... here is the cat page:
http://www.metzelermoto.com/web/catalog/moto/moto_catalogo_schedaDescription.page?categoria=/catalog/moto/custom/none&vehicleType=MOTO&product_id=101321&uri=/metzeler/en_IT/browser/xml/catalog/moto/Custom_ME_880_Marathon.xml&menu_item=/products/catalog/customstom

good luck

Still not found a tyre i like yet for my 'R'.

Pirelli Diablo corsa 3's were not bad.

Pirelli Diablo not great grip when out scratching.

Maxxis supersports hard to turn in on and worn quickly.

Bridgestone BT014's on currently, handles ok but the front has worn very unevenly and the rear is almost shot after too many wheelies, only done just over 1000miles.

Going to try the Michelin 2ct's next, not really heard a bad word said about them. The best tyre ive used was the pirelli super corsa's on my ZX6R but fear they are too soft for the TQ of the Buell?

Michelin 2ct's or Pilot Pure.

Absolutely transformed the bike, 1000% better handling and feedback. Give them a try, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Nuts4mc: The ME880 is used on the K1200LT, not the newer K1600GTL. That bike comes equipped with Metzeler's latest Roadtec Interac Z8 radials. The ME880 used on the K1200LT is a bias belted tire (not a radial). I believe the K1300GTs also used a radial tire, but I don't think it was the radial version of the ME880 (I could be mistaken... I never looked very hard at that model).

Pilot pure users, what pressure are you running? I've heard they need more pressure than other tires.

I am running the Continental Road Attacks have been spectacular for me. Good mileage (I got 3000km our of the OEM tire), I'm getting 12km out of a set of the Continentals, and the traction has been exceptional. I don't race, I commute, tour, and when I can, do some canyon riding.
