Buell did.

not much info on that one but if someone can find the original and it states that it is nitrous injected...so there ya go!

Because our bikes need to be faster???

Need? Hmm, possibly not, but then again does anyone need a bike capable of doing the speed the 1125 does as stock? Arguably (for street riding) there's no need for any bike bigger than 250cc.

If you replace "need" with "want" then I can certainly understand the appeal of wanting "more".

I'm sure a fogger kit would be relatively simple to fit into the airbox... I guess potentially you could even look that the RS's extra injectors to mist a mix of fuel and nitrous directly into the intakes.

I don't think it's something I'd choose to do the the 1125 if I was interested in longevity.

I'd happily stick a wet kit on an old gixxer (or something of that ilk) but I suspect that's more to do with my age and fear of the newer tech where ignition timing and fuel mix is controlled by the ECM, especially with the closed loop O2 sensors in the mix too... but I think that's just fear on my part, Hell I only ever blew my Gixxer up a couple of times with the nitrous mix being a little "aggressive"

Def have to do the math and keep the fuel in check with the amount of juice you're adding plus a little extra to account for the temp drop. i've never heard of anyone having an issue when running realistic numbers and keeping it a bit fuel rich.

the biggest issue with power adders the world over is running to lean. it happens a lot faster and the devastation occurs a lot earlier when you are juicing, blowing or hair drying.

the ice bike had a progressive controller and would run up to a 100 horse shot. although the main problem they had was the clutch holding with that 100 horse. but Jens said that was because of the quick rate at which they had to bump it up from a small shot to the big shot. he said if the track was longer and they could ease it on a bit more it should have held.

it was a well thought out kit designed just for the 1125's. Apparently it was very impressive in action.

i checked into it right after they built the bike. thought maybe id get around to adding another n2o'd buell to the stable.

good grief a 100 horses on the bottle would be a real bitch to tame. can't imagine that without very careful usage the cases and other internals would be as durable though. even with careful usage an extra 100 would still be really hard on bearings bearing lands crank and rods.

i would think that a watchful eye on all observable parameters including oil samples would be required

where nitrous really kills stuff(besides it being set up wrong and running things WAY to lean) is the big bang with the increase in on huge jump.

meaning if you just dump an extra 100 to it out of the blue its alot harder on it then giving it say 25-50-75 then 100. increasing it in increments as the bike speeds up.

not that 100 is easy on it by any means, but it is easier on it that way.

my 9 is just a BAM 50 shot.

*caution- possible detour*

so...to put this in perspective our 1125's in stock form, would need at least 40hp shot and a 50-60lbs weight reduction to be put on par with the new 1190....WOW!
