I have a 1125r. I think it surges more than it should. I have fmf pipe and eb ecm. Up to about 5000 rpms it surges like crazy. I replaced the plugs. I am very mechanical and can do about anything. First I just want it compared to other 1125's and maybe ideas of what to do. I do not get on here to much. If you think you can help let me know. I will compensate you some how. I am about to go on a 1300 mile trip it would be real nice if someone could help me very soon.

First thing to try, unplug the O2 sensors and see if it goes away. I know it's not a real fix, but try it anyway.

Just a fyi, it could be numerous things causing it. Faulty fuel pump or pressure regulator, faulty (dirty) fuel injectors, bad coil(s) or even a dirty air filter (not likely, but still possible) along with many other things on the bike.

Thanks everybody for help and comments
not sure if this is what you are referring to. I just run the diagnostics. No codes
fuel kpa was about 500 at idle fuel voltage was 2.9 at idle, front & rear o2 was .4
front and rear fuel adapt was 100
after searching here that looks about right. I would have guessed low fuel pressure.
now thinking injectors??

I think the TP resets itself at every start up on these bikes.

First I'm going to say that there its a fueling issue, but the surge is a natural acurance. It's in all motors, there is systems built-in the drivetrain to take it out. Buells and HD's have rubber stoppers in the drive pulley to take it out as well as a few other things. If you have a lot of surge, I would look there first.

Jdugger LOL!!!.

> 5000RPM fixes everything.

what was your 12,000mi service like? a couple laps at WOT

I am totally kidding. I know you, know whats up. I also think the 1125 is much happier at higher RPM.... like every sport bike.

I just think its funny

Ok I am back I took my other bike on my trip. I am going to try to clean injectors once then replace. I know these bikes have a lot of surge but I think this is more than normal. That's why i wanted to have someone so we could compare. If this is normal I will not be able to handle it.
