I just sold my jardine RT5..I want to buy a new exhaust and I was looking into the Keda RT3, but I don't want an exhaust louder than the jardine! Just need some real views on how you would do the sound comparison on the two exhaust.
Yes I'm considering the barkers as well, but the Keda is sexy on the 1125!

aph are a grand choice - and your not really going to get a quite exhaust due to the engine noise and its a v-twin

I replaced an RT5 with a Barkers and silent insert - a world of difference. The bike ran much better, with more torque and HP and that raspy loud RT5 noise is now a low, deep rumble that sounds like power - without the ear pain.

No Jardine for me but, I have a Keda RT-2 and it is LOUD. It sound amazing , looks amazing, and performs great, but at idle it was easily the loudest bike at my last track day. Once on the pipe though its not much louder than some of the other bikes but for some reason it is a beast at idle. FYI according to Dean the RT-3 is the loudest of his pipes.

The exhaust shootout from American Sport Bike has some DB levels if you want to compare them on paper:

Muffler - Idle - 2k - 5k
Stock - 88db - 91.8db - 99db
Jardine - 95.7 - 99 - 110.6
Keda RT3 - 98.5 - 99.5 - 112.5

It's worth a look if you want to see all the info he compiled - plus sound clips to compare side by side. Very cool.

basically it looks like w/o the db killer insert the Keda is louder than the Jardine.

Here's the link for the shootout:

Cool.

FYI the barker is :

98.2 - 99.5 - 107.9

to compare.

looks like it may be louder at idle, same at 2k, and less at 5k.
