Harley uses a batch-order system. Orders don't go in as the clerk types it; they go in once a day. Then, depending on where some parts are coming from and where others are coming from, they group the 'orders' based on location.

Why are you even looking for another stock one? Take the opportunity to upgrade.

Anyone know the current status of VR, Stator and wiring harness availability?

It would seem i will likely need all 3 and a battery. Glad its under warranty.

HD Canada seemed a little worried when i mentioned wiring harness. With the black smoke coating the white plastics on left side of bike and the pungent smell of burnt plastic id guess im in need of one.

Hope to hear from dealer soon

my bikes in the shop at langley B.C. for the stator, was told today it would be 2 weeks for one, and the VR was about a week away. Not sure about the harness as I had it done last year.

VR and stator are toast

Canada supply is on backorder -3

Also smoke was from the crankcase vent which was damaged apparently.

Welcome to summer. I played this game with my 09 CR ALL last summer. Lost the WHOLE riding season due to stators and clutch leaks.

Don't waste your riding season, pull the stator and try Custom Rewind for ~$150. Throw a modern R/R on there from Ebay for ~$125.

Sure, it is $300 out of your pocket on a bike under warranty...but the parts Buell puts back in there are just going to fail next summer...out of warranty anyways.

They told me 2 weeks to get the stator, and the parts guy I do trust, he's helped me out in the past. I dont plan on missing my season this time, had that happen when warrenty took 2 months to change my engine, so I'm giving them 2 weeks and then I'll explore alternate means. I got the extended warrenty so I still have untill 2014 before mine runs out.
