I need the electrics from a 1125r ignition barrel, my wires have snapped off the small circuit board inside.

Any of you racers removed one and fancy selling to me ?

I don't even need the key/lock part, it comes apart in 2 pieces, I need the bottom section and the tails with connector at the end of them.

If your based stateside and could ship to LA/Beverly hills that would be great, or if your in the United Kingdom even better.

Thanks.

Would this be the part number c0152.02a8?
Retail is $35 in the usa. Plus tax and shipping.

Anybody got parts catalogue ? Hadn't thought of buying new, I'd just presumed it would be sold as a whole unit.

Mine did that twice. both different terminals.
I re-soldered them myself instead of taking it in for warranty.
The second time I removed an arc about 3/4" deep from the fairing stay. wires were rubbing and flexing.

No problems since, a year plus...

That's unbelievable Usanigel(Right part no. and MSRP)... didn't expect it to be that cheap. I had fun fixing it tho. : )
After removing the offending material from the stay, I don't need to worry anymore.

Triumph use same company for theirs. Trick is to stop the wires flexing where they go into the switch housing.

Zac, i soldered mine too last year after my crash, lasted for about 7 mths of riding.

Could you please upload a picture of what/where you cut the fairing mount, i think this is going to become another common failure.

Any joy with the pics Zac ?

I called my local dealer today, first line they used was

"well they don't make Buell's anymore, will take a while to get any parts in, if we can"

I proceeded to give her the parts number mentioned above, reply

"that's not right, uh, what bike is it, I'll have to look it up"

A few minutes later she tells me it's been super ceded and I'll have to buy a whole ignition barrel and keys for £112 +vat and will take 6-8 weeks as it has to come from America.

So on to blackbear which is the UK's no1 for Buell parts, but is to far for me to visit(5hours round trip at least), couple of minutes on the phone with them and should be with them by Tuesday ish next week, £41 Inc vat.

These bad dealers are gonna stop people from owning Buell's, I do miss going to a local shop to get parts and getting friendly with the staff, feel like just a number these days.

Hey Paul -
It's 49F and drizzling now(10:30am) so I stand a good chance of puttering in the garage today.
I WILL get some pix today.

Gal at your dealer is right -just ran it by HDnet - superseded p/n Y0724.02A8, the whole thing with keys, shows 102 USD MSRP.

Both mine were very easy to fix, hard part was the damn security screws holding the switch.
I got the right size Torx and center-drilled it on my lathe.

I'll go out in a bit and pull the fairing and get you some pix of the mod to the stay.

Zack

Perhaps the redesigned part no longer has this problem?

Doubt it, looks like its just the same 2 parts not seperated.

Easy money for them.
