To remove the glass out of the mirror housing without breaking it?

It is attached via a double sided tape that's pretty darn sticky. I've already broken one mirror and figured someone may have already figured this puzzle out.

Actually, if you're talking about the R, Zac4mac says he has done it by briefly dipping the assembly (presumably NOT the side with the LEDs and wiring ) in boiling water. I believe others may have also done that, but for more details, I would ask Zac directly.

Don't know if this is applicable to the CR.

Long time ago and my mind's pretty addled, but pretty sure I stuck the whole thing in boiling water.
The signals do fine in the rain...

You have to get the glass off before you can start to dismantle the mirror and LEDs.
Unscrew the nut and remove the flat washer, spring and cup washer(IIRC)

All I can find quickly, this is the carrier, a template of cardboard and a piece of flat mirror I cut to fix one I broke.

All you need to get wet/hot is the glass tho, the rest can stay dry...

Thanks Z. I'll give it a try. The hair dryer trick did not work.
