The 1125 Owner's Manual mentions pushing on the glass, but nothing about otherwise adjusting the mirrors on an 1125.

I know the R and the CR mirrors are obviously different and I can see how you might not be able to adjust the R, but how can I make the CR mirrors a bit wider? Anyone done this?

Your options are kind of limited since the mirrors stay in the detent rotationally. Adjust the glass mirror as much as possible, you can also loosen the Torx fastener holding the hand controls to the bar to rotate the mirror forward or backwards (moving the mirrors view up or down) and tightening back up, but you have to be careful that the reservoirs and hose ends don't hit the fly screen. That's about it. I switched to bar end mirrors as quick as I could. Can see now with no vibrations.

As far as I can tell there is no adjustment. I am about 6'4" so I just rotated both the forward controls a bit and that did the trick. With my height it worked out perfect.

Wider...?

Move your arms..!

Not to be a smart ass...but your arms have have three pivot points (shoulder, elbow, wrist), just pull your elbow in a little.

I have a 54" chest, plus a heavy Tour Master jacket, drive the So. Cal. freeways daily, just a little pivot of my neck and elbow...check both sides, no problem.
If I really need to see everything behind me...yea, just lift my whole arm...but that's not very often.

But as you might expect, the mirror needs to be adjusted so you can do this.

Or you can do the cool thing with the bar end mirrors like many do.

Mike

Once you have them set lay a bead of clear silicon around as much of the edge of the glass/housing as you can. This really cuts down the blurriness by about 97%. If you're lucky you'll have only about 1/3 of the view blocked by your elbow.

I installed mirror extenders and had the base of the mirror machined out to fit the extender. It extended it out approx 2 1/2", much better arrangement. I got the extenders from a friend, he got them from Twisted Throttle. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll post a couple pictures.

First, grab the mirror head with both hands.
Then, using your thumbs, adjust the mirror to the desired position.
After the mirror breaks, try to find a new mirror assembly for cheap on the internet…

Adjustments on the CR's mirrors are largely symbolic.

I just contort my body and curse frequently.

I have no issues with the mirrors even in their stock position, but I did rotate the entire lever and mirror assembly forward a few degrees and I don't have any problems with visibility or elbows.

I'm 6'3". Maybe that's my problem. My #1 reason for hanging onto the mirrors at this point is that I really like the LED turn signals - I think they're plenty bright, even in the daylight.

The glass moves back and forth as well as up and down.

I'm 6'4", broad shoulders, always wear armor, stock clubmans on my CR. I get a little shoulder in the mirror...but still totally usable.

I was told to rotate them for view. No problem.
