It doesn't get any more real than that.

9.28 is very fast and Joe is kicking some ass. I have already stated I think Twin Motorcycles is dong good work, but I don't agree with the HP proclamations without baseline figures--just as I have stated in previous posts. To state the stock dyno numbers of a new 1125r which hasn't even been broken in is a bit insulting. That dyno run was probably done close to a couple years ago. Has the over 1,200 and counting dyno runs affected the calibration of said dyno?

It's interesting to me it wasn't mentioned at all in the OP's opening thread, the fact this 152HP dyno run was done on an Erik Buell Racing headers/pipe, not the Torque Hammer. It would lead one to believe (if Michael hadn't interjected) that the 152HP was attainable with TM's stacks, tune and Torque Hammer. In reality, the 152HP was done with the TM intake stacks, Erik Buell Racing headers, Erik Buell Racing Sidewinder & the TM tune. Is this not false advertising?

Thanks Joe. 7hp is a nice find with the addition of a race pipe and matching tune.

the Erik Buell Racing side winder was not mentioned as i was not aloud to disclose any pics or information on it as it was a prototype .mike 1125r and micheal from Erik Buell Racing had alot of input into the design i just got to test it which i was more than happy to do i went to Dris as i wanted a good fuel map for the stacks and pipe and withe a 7 hp gain worth the 3 days off work and 26hrs traveling

as was previously stated, Dris was told to stay hush hush on the whole thing, re-read the whole thing a little more closely...this is why i dont check in as much as i used to..

As you say fresnobuell, dyno figures are only a guide as there are so many factors, but the fact is this, LBQ has the record for a 1125, using TM tune etc, now he has more power, 7bhp and 12 NM shown on TM dyno.

Think that's proof enough, E.B.R and TM are doing good things for us all, and the efforts of LBQ and mike1125r are pioneering the way forward with said companies.

Keep up the good work gents : )

I have no doubt that Dris is one of the great Buell tuners. Fresnobuell is correct there was an error of omission from Dris.
I suspect Dris does his marketing work after hours when he is more relaxed, less analytical...

Things started going backwards when he compared a bone stock run to a drag bike with way too many variables introduced besides the stacks and tune. Dris is not a great marketer, a more meaningful comparison would have been the drag bike B4 the stacks-tune a baseline so to speak, then the stacks tune.

re-read the whole thing a little more closely

I have read it several times.

Even if the specific pipe was hush-hush there should have been a mention that it WASN'T the Torque Hammer in the 152HP run, but another "I can't name it right now" pipe with non-stock headers.

That's pretty obvious unless you think it really was an honest omission.

using TM tune etc, now he has more power, 7bhp and 12 NM shown on TM dyno.

...also don't forget the new Erik Buell Racing headers and pipe along with that tune. : )

fair enough fresno, i agree with that as i thought initially it was the new revised torquehammer....twas a little misleading but i digress.

I would think this is the reason ebr shy away from posting dyno results for there products, just to many variables for the public to argue about.

I look at peoples numbers and make my own opinion, but they are only ever a guide.

I did not know chain drive would affect it, or sprocket sizes ? Thought that would just change the position of the torque/bhp figures on the chart, ie power comes on sooner ?

So I am not to familiar with NM rating. So, I do an unit conversation. I was surprised to see that 120 NM's is 88-89 foot pounds of torque! That is awesome! I wonder what the stacks would work like with the HPE race pipe.

just got back from racing 9.5 bike found it hard to run a 9.5 et i was shutting off at the 1000ft and still running a 9.4 et at 120mph most of the field the 4 pots were struggling to run the number on a full pass but i managed to run a 9,549 which was a number 2 qualifier but ended up as number 6 after 3 days qualifying but i was busy trying for a pb and running full passes i was pleased with a 9.24 @147 mph all these passes were made on the hottest weekend ever recorded for time of year with no air quality .i was looking forward to a night pass with good air and a good track but as we were just about to run and a comp bike rodded his motor and the track was closed who knows what that pass would of been .to day was eliminations i got through the 1st round but pulled a red in the 2nd but saw it and went balls out and ran a 9.22 et many thanks to Dris and twinmotorcycles for this fuel map and stacks Erik Buell Racing for the side winder pipe and mike1125r for all his input and help
