Alright Texas buellers...I have moved from the great white north to the Austin(round Rock) TX area. Why I didn't do this sooner in life I have no idea. Anyway, what's the secret to registering my 1125r in Texas...do I need to get it inspected? And if so, does that mean I need to put the stock exhaust back on? Please tell me no.

You have to get it inspected. Any motorcycle dealer can do it. They will give you a green sheet (proof it passed inspection) to take to get it registered. You don't have to have stock exhaust.

Yes you need to get it inspected first. Then head to the local tax/registration office. And you need to join the Hillcountry Hellbuellies. I will send you the yahoo group info. They are having a get together this Sunday along with every Thursday.

Do not have to put stock exhaust back on. Make sure all your lights work, horn works, tired are good and have a copy of your insurance with you.

I see you were navy.. if you have more than 50% VA disability rating you don't pay any registration fees or property taxes and you get different plates... just one of the few things i missed about texas when i moved back to socal.

Thank you gents!

Any suggestions on a buell friendly dealer near round rock would be greatly appreciated. I'll be needing new tires before she gets registered.

Pull your own wheels and have Cycle Gear do the tire swap for you.

Buell dealers charge a fortune for the rubber and the service.

Bring that bike to ECR on Sunday this weekend for the track day and I'll help you do it. I've got a tire machine in the garage.

My little brother lives in Victoria but he takes his Firebolt to Cowboy H-D/B in Austin.
