Does anyone know of an automotive conversion for the 1125R air filter...i.e.: Purolator or Fram?

Local H-D Dealer does not stock the filter...and wants $50. : (

K&N would be second choice; however, trying to stay away since some have commented that they run their race bikes with paper filter.

I put a K&N on Loretta as soon as they were available.
It's a good filter as long as you keep it clean and will last the rest of my life.

Seemed a no-brainer to me.

Dosen't filter enough in the small particle range. Stock works better without slowing a ton of air like many/most think.

Run a dyno test with a clean stocker and any miles on an oiled K&N.
Doesn't show much difference until way up there rpm wise.
Oh boy, my OEM filter's crap...a 2 or 3 hp loss...at 11,000rpm!

Not worth the dirt intrusion to me..
