Unsprung weight, too.

Still, looks like a great bike!

Mass centralization has been a buzzword in motorcycle design for years. I don't know if Erik invented it, but he certainly takes it to new levels.

Only $400 MSRP difference between the 600 and the 750. Becha they sell the crap out of the 750's.

No kidding on the 20lbs. And figure, there's another easy 20 to be found in the battery, removing street equipment, cutting the cat out, and so on.

Gawd, how light and fun to ride that must be...

So speaking of Buells and GSXR 600's, anyone happen to have a record of Eslick's lap times at various tracks between the Buell in 2009 and the GSXR this year?

Kawasaki too... in 2010, they had the "revolutionary" and "ingenious" idea of placing the exhaust UNDER THE ENGINE!!! What manner of craziness was this? Everyone knows that bikes are faster/better with long tubes sticking way out in the air with big fat canisters at the ends, right?

Not with the new z1000...

"Thanks to the under-engine pre-chamber, silencer volume could be reduced. The silencers are also lighter. Overall exhaust system weight is about the same, but the new system offers much better mass centralization and contributes to a lower center of gravity."

"• The rear sub-frame is a three-piece aluminum die-casting construction, light, strong and good for mass centralization "
