does anyone here think that the Erik Buell Racing ion battery would be a better choice for the street than this POS sportster battery??

Does anyone let the battery warm up before cranking?? Someone correct me if i'm wrong but shouldn't you turn on the ignition and let it sit for 30 seconds to a minute. wouldn't the draw from the cluster and lights warm up the battery which would increase your cca??? just a thought

i'll try that in the morning but i am thinking that the warming effect will be offset by the low temps causing lower power to begin with.

I know that works the Li-Po battery on my track bike.

On cold mornings it won't even turn the bike over but I hit the starter for a few seconds wait 20 seconds and repeat, after 5 or 6 times the bike kicks right over. Not sure if that works for AGM batteries too.

It was 35F on my Christmas day ride in Dallas today. I gad the Gerbing at about 75%, so cold wasn't an issue. Took a nice long ride. Almost no traffic.
