Just traded in my old bike for a 2009 model 1125r with 18 months warranty left and only 1000 miles on the clock.

Nervous, scared and excited at the same time.
Off to finish paperwork, insurance and road tax next week.

What have I done?

You will love it, then hate when you get the niggles, but then the bond is developed once you start fixing it and you can never leave it : )

May I suggest an Erik Buell Racing ecm and after market exhaust? I think you will love the bike without them but with the mods, you will love it that much more.

Everybody is different, but MY 1125R is the FINEST vehicle ever made.
She reads my mind and delivers the best ride I could hope for, every time.

Other than falling over in the garage 2 or 3 times - I got under her each time and protected her from harm - we have been down once.
Those "Ugly pods" did their job and kept all repairs semi-affordable.

Come to a Homecoming sometime and you'll be hooked for life.
It's a good thing.

Welcome to the madness, BTW

Zack

Sorted out the insurance. Got a very good deal on the phone last night £100 less than the previous low so happy there.

The bike cost a few pennies short of £5K which seems average according to biketrader.co.uk and has fewer miles upon it than those others for sale.

Just sort out the road tax this Friday at the Post Office in the morning and pick up the bike at lunchtime.

Aiming to get hold of some genuine heated grips and some simple throw over luggage next.
