Last night coming home from work my FL and CEL came on so I stopped and got fuel. It wasn't low on fuel. Another mile or two down the road it came on again for about a minute then went out . It did this a few more times. Anyone have any ideas I haven't checked diagnostics yet.

Sounds like the sensor, was it pretty cold?
We had our first frost last night.

2 Scenarios possible -
LFL/CEL at start-up, goes out near reaching OpTemp - old firmware in IC - Replace IC

LFL/CEL come on AFTER reaching OpTemp, goes off after engine heatsoaks frame and warms fuel or doesn't, depending on how low ambient is.
Sensor out of range - replace fuel pump/sensor ass'y.

Once you know the sequence to reproduce the DTCs, take it to the shop for warranty diagnosis/repair and let them know how to reproduce the failure mode.

<edit> I should add, the sensor is a thermistor, so this error is exacerbated by colder ambient temps.
Before fixing mine with a new fuel pump ass'y, I had issues thru the Winter, went away and behaved thru the Summer, only to return in the Fall.
An annoyance only, rideability never suffered.

Zack

Happened to my 1125R this weekend. It was the first cold morning we have had. The bike has had a new IC put in at Zac4mac's shop earlier this year before I purchased it. It is the new firmware. Not sure if it came on at startup or after reaching Op Temp, but they did go off after a while.

You need whole fuel pump assembly replaced to fix it apparently

Mine did this. New fuel pump needed most likely. It doesn't affect the running of the bike fortunately, its just a wonky signal from the defective thermistor.

With the stock ecm the LFL will come on briefly on start up but with the Erik Buell Racing ecm it does not.
