Quick Question regarding trans jet replacement:

How would you know whether the "Safety Recall Code 0834" work was performed? And I'm not talking service record database, here - I'm not convinced it is accurate in my case (shows 0838 has not been performed, but I know it has - brake line reroute). Did a quick BW search for "Service Bulletin 0834" and a couple of variations with no success. I'm sure the answer is on here somewhere.

As I understand it, original design had NO oil jet. Bulletin 0834 adds a jet. So if I see no oil jet, warranty work not done. Oil jet in place = happy warranty.

Can I get a witness? Thanks

JM

Not necessarily.
Don't know how widespread, but I know several dealers that warranty parts are not tracked in the standard stock system.
In that case, the parts won't show on a ticket, just the recall itself.
