Comfort Seat Group Order Part1 archived on 08/27/10. The Comfort Seat Group Order is finally coming together as a Saddlemen-Track-Gel seat! The ball is rolling again and it looks like it's going to be happening very soon! Al at American Sport Bike just forwarded me a series of his emails with Saddlemen. A few bits of email history; Al on September 01, 2010 7:32 AM: "Can you status the project please? The natives are getting restless…" Saddlemen on September 01, 2010 8:31 AM: "Ok, we’ll set 50 and 100 pcs levels. We don’t just “copy” the pan and will adjust for slope and other things so when we get the first molds done we will need your (rider) feedback. We just don’t clone seats." Al on September 07, 2010 3:13 PM: "How soon until I have a seat in hand?" Saddlemen on September 07, 2010 3:31 PM: "I’m trying to work with our COO on the pricing. Any moment we’ll have that done (as you caught us in the process of developing a new “menu”). Sorry again, just a number of projects hit at the same time, but they are finishing and getting out of the way. Once you approve, we’re a week to ten days from final fitment tests on a bike and then one more week after that for production. Actual production moves pretty fast." ////////------------------ 2010 was the year my S1 lost it's painful arse seating award to the CR. Sounds like my S1 will be getting that award back in October! Thank you BWB'ers, your participation made it possible for this 'Group Order' idea to work out giving us all the opportunity to order a custom engineered and artistically made Saddlemen-Track-Gel seat! I have asked Al for his lead time in getting a Saddlemen-Track-Gel page on his web site. THX |

Black Star: Ya-hoooo! I lost interest a long time ago, but I'm glad it has finally come to fruition. Thanks for keeping all the duckies in a row, Danny. And thanks to the folks at A-S-B who channeled everything to make it happen. |

Al @ American Sport Bike has told me that when he gets the first seat in he will have a page on the web for us to order 'our' seat. THX everyone! |

I was looking forward to buying a seat but the whole process just took too long. I finally found a group that did the job for the buell for about $150. |

Yeah, I know but I really tried to hold out for this thread to produce something but it has been several months now (by no ones fault but still). I got tired of arguing with my butt. lol Its all good though, I am happy with the seat I have now. Maybe next time I am in the market (hopefully looking for a seat for an 1190R) I will look to this thread. |

Look to American Sport Bike Al he's the man. The 1190R will like a long barreled fully choked 10 guage shotgun, able to kill Ducs from great distances! |

I remember that game and the funny dog. duck hunter and PAC Man by today's game standards are like model A and T Fords being compared to todays cars. |

Duck Hunt and Pac Man offer a different type of gaming experience that is rarely if ever seen on a modern gaming console. Back then they didn't have the technology and capabilities that we have today, so the game developers were arguably more creative. Games back then had a much higher difficulty, hence the term that used to be thrown around "Nintendo hard". Old school side scrollers like the old Castlevania games show what it is like when gameplay is limited by the abilities and talent of the developer, and not a graphics chip. What was this thread about again? |

Does anyone know if this seat will really be that much better than the Buell "custom seat" that I already have? What about the Baldwin seat that's available? I guess I will just have to wait for the feedback on it after it's made...lol |

Buellsruell - without going back to the archive there were people with custom seats that had a poor opinion of them. Unique to the saddlemen seat is a center channel with gel to protect that part of you body that supplies blood to the male anatomy. ED etc... http://www.saddlemen.com/store/index.php?main_page =index&cPath=511_514&zenid=6ca9854e8a75261b25e81b9 66a9ab9a0 |

I had no idea so many people disliked the stock seat. I wonder how much I could get for my barely used select seat? |

I don't even know what they retailed for. When I bought my r they were doing a $500 of free stuff promo, and the seat was one of the things I got. |

Is that all? I'll just hang on to it for that. If it were closer to getting me the Joe Rocket suit I want I'd throw it up on the for sale board. Thanks for the info Zac. |

Badlionsfan - this whole thing started with what they were going for and how fast on BWB and E-bay. In the 08/27/2010 archive; find the 'Comfort Seat Group Order' thread and read the first few pages. |

I wasn't that interested in this seat until Danny posted a link to them (thanks Danny!) The seats do appear to be well made so count me in unless they are over $350 or so in which case I may look around to see what else is out there. -Tutt |

You can buy a new stock seat at your dealer. It's a production part and will remain available. All "Parts and Accessory" seats are gone, like the Tour Select seat. Zack |
