Further to my thread about my battery light coming on, I was asked to see if my bike has had any upgrades/recalls etc done on it.

The dealer said they updated the flash. I can't call them and ask because I bought the bike from Quebec and I can't speak french (the entire transaction was a nightmare). I don't have a local dealer.

My VIN is 5MZHL04N993B00862

You are all good to go as far as recalls or campaigns, running a VIN won't tell your flash though. You need to hook up to a Digital Tech or other computer to find out but you do have the stator harness which should have the latest flash

Bobbuell,

Can you check mine too? After seeing people with rear wheel lockup, I'm wondering if recalls on my bikes have been taken care of:

2008R: 4MZHL04D683B00913 (oil flow recall)
2009CR: 4MZYL04D793C00603 (cam tensioner)

08 R is good, all complete
09 CR waiting for the harness update - open, all others complete.

Can't you register on the HD US site anymore?

If you're from Canada, you have to use a US address. I used Buell's street address.

All that info is on there.

Ok, I have another post, but I didn't know folks on here could look up VINs, but my bike has been at the dealer for a week now for fluid spitting out of the weep hole on the clutch cover. They said the bike has had the upgrades done to it, but according to their receipt from the last time it was in for the same problem, the updated PNs aren't on there. so here is my stuff if you could please look it up for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

09 1125R 4MZHL04D593B00340, 9500 miles. Thank you very much

Pyro, no open recalls or safety campaigns on your bike. Thats about all we can get off the VIN. I dont know about the other guys on here but I am able to run them because I work for a dealer and have access to H-Dnet

Bob,

If you don't mind running mine also, I would greatly appreciate it. I never did get a notice mailed to me regarding the harness upgrade, so I am hoping that means mine was done before I picked it up.

Thanks!

I'll bet HD is going to be wondering why certain bikes have 298 folks checking the VIN . . all with various mileage readings.

: )

.....by the way . . you need an oil change.

This has been a useful thread. I looked up my VIN at HD's website and it shows the
0507 1125 Charging System Upgrade as open.

This is the wiring harness upgrade correct? Because I had this work (supposedly) performed at my local dealer almost a year ago.

Any help is appreciated.
