I really like how you let the material do the work...in terms of the curves and reinforced straight bits. I would never have thought to just bend a piece under the bike...too easy : p

You have greatly inspired me to get off my duff and lay something up over cardboard.

Looks fantastic Blower. Are you planning on painting it to match?

Fasteners made, finished and testride done. I need to find some sound absorbing material inside the chin spoiler, because now the engine noise is kind of "metallic".
Next thing is painting...

I think this is the material I had used , either way it makes a huge difference in sound , mine had the same metallic sound you described....

that looks good blower, not the look that i'm after, but very nice build indeed. nice, clean work and looks smooth as hell. I'm partial to the look of thurstonbuells, primarily because of the side fairings, but you can be proud of that for sure!

Here is the close up pic of the fasteners:

I weld two M6 nuts under the muffler. Front fasteners are made from 4 x 20 mm aluminum bar.

Mountainstorm , start off with some heavy mill craft paper , get the general lay out , then go to cardboard , just a suggestion ....

Thanks. If I can find a moment I'll give it a shot. Back tire is bald and I need bearings so it's a great excuse to sling the beast from the rafters of the shop and start puttering.

Painted and finished. Itīs painted with VHT spray paints. Gloss black is not as shiny as it should be.

Not sure if it's painted that way or if it's just the light, but the front looks like a flat/matte finish.
I think that looks really good cause then the flat black tips of the scoops match the flat black tip of the chin piece.

By far the best looking chin spoiler I've seen on an 1125!

@ Not_purple_s2
The front is painted with VHT`s Wrinkle+ spray paint, because so it match better with scoops.
Itīs also stronger than normal paint.

Not to belittle anyone else's work but Blower1's chin fairing is absolutely perfect. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if he decides to fab a few more.

Blower ,
You've inspired me !!! I may look into morphing my belly pan and you're chin fairing together ... kind of a " belly spoiler " hybrid

Oh Gheeze here I go again !!!

Nice work, looks great! I'd love to give this a go, but not sure my skills are as good as yours! A template would certainly make it a heck of a lot easier!!! Thanks!
