I thought I'd relate my experience with a couple members and the RT-1 exhaust itself. I bought the RT-1 from Jack Graves right here on BWB. First, I've got to say Jack has been very helpful and is great to deal with. He hooked me up with a tire supplier and a seat supplier and I've had a few conversations about other things 1125 and riding related.

I got the RT-1 and spent the better part of a Saturday trying to put it on but it just didn't seem to fit up right. I called Dean Adams up and after a few back-and-forth pics, calls, and texts we decided that something just wasn't lined up right. The bike it came off of was a 2008 1125R (I think) and mine was a 2009 1125CR. For some reason the pieces just didn't fit up right. Dean actually offered to STOP BY MY HOUSE to see what he could do. This was not a normal thing but Dean was at the homecoming and I was a little over an hour south of East Troy so it worked out.

Dean stopped by as promised and he and his son attempted to make some adjustments but to no avail. Dean then put my stock exhaust on for me with a couple of his exhaust gaskets that he luckily had in his truck (mine were toast after removing them). Dean took the RT-1 back home to do some work and I had a bike to ride until he was done. After several more pics and updates and phone calls, Dean finished up making the mods and sent the exhaust back to me, shipping paid by Dean. This was well above and beyond since I bought the exhaust used. Dean even offered to make any other changes (like raising the pipe up a bit) if I wanted.

I've now been running the exhaust for several weeks and over 500 miles and am very pleased with it. The sound is excellent, noticeable but not loud - nearly perfect I'd say, and I lost over 8 pounds over the stocker.

I have to say, Dean and his products are first class, top-shelf. I may even try one of his other mufflers for something a little lighter/louder (RT-3?).

This is what makes America great, people standing up for and behind their work.

The only real downside for me on this is, I can't make them fast enough. I'm always running so far behind now that it's not even remotely funny. Just when I thought I'd start catching up, I get a few more orders, then a few more after that. They just keep coming in a few at a time and I stay 6-8 weeks (or even more) behind all the time.

Just think, if I buy an XB9 or 12 and start making pipes for those, I'll be in a world of hurt. I might have to quit my day job.

It would be really cool if they get the 1190 out there and these fit it. : )

I am definitely getting one of your pipes for my 09 CR, Dean.I just have to decide on which one...

And I know how backed up you are, so I will order it this Fall and will just be happy if I get it installed by Spring : )

Has anyone had their Keeda- Designs pipes ceramic coated yet?? I would really love to have my pipe BLACK if possible.

Yeah, I like that polished look. I really like how the pipes have that broken look and it just looks cool when it polished. I think the black would be really cool to though. It would definitely blend in with the looks of the engine and frame. Does the ceramic coating make a difference in the radiant heat?

It looks great black. On an 09 with the black frame it just flows. Mine is all black but I think I will polish the tips this winter just to give it a more finished look. Dean does do nice work. Ive had a lot compliments on the craftsmanship. My only real complaint is I wish it was a touch quieter at idle.

I have the polished RT-3 that I purchased here in the classifieds. When I took my bike up to Harley on Thursday for the clutch leak repair (what else), the mechanic said to me "I heard you coming, and I was wondering what kind of bike was making that nice sound!"
All I can say, its one loud ass snarlin pipe, and I love it.

I'd really like to hear the RT-3 in person versus the RT-1. According to the American Sport Bike shootout they are about the same but Dean said the RT-3 is definitely louder.
