Anyone know what size pipe will slip over the header outlet for a 2-1 mid pipe?

Thanks

I would like to know this too. Try asking D_adams. He would know.

If your talking about the stock headers 1 7/8" I.d. will fit nicely. Hope that helps you.

1.875" tubing will work, but it will need to be stretched about .030" to slip over the headers if you use 16 gauge tubing. I use a mechanical expander to size it to fit.

Thanks Vin and Dean. I thought I asked you this once already Dean, but I couldn't find anything in my email and didn't want to sound like an idiot asking you again, hahaha!!

I have a manual expander that I'll have to use. Now it's just a matter of finding the tubing locally or settling on an online dealer for my specific little project.

I was thinking Summit cause their shipping is always really cheap. I'll have to take a look again. JC Whitney has good prices usually and Cone Engineering has a lot of different parts for pretty cheap too.

Albert: I think I need 16G cause I'm not the best welder when doing 18G. I basically have to do a bunch of tack welds all the way around the pipe. It ends up looking good I guess...I just need someone to give me a TiG machine!!!

FWIW, I buy tubes and bends from Burns - always been happy with quality.

Drawk - the 16ga 304 welds really nice with a TIG. You're bound to have someone who either owes you or you can easily bribe....
