I'm noticed that my left mirror head is starting to get loose. It appears the nut in the back is backing off. Was wondering if anyone has popped the mirror out and re-tightened that nut? Basically wondering if it's even possible to get the mirror glass to come out to get to that.

I've read that if you soak the mirror face down (just the glass part so you don't get the wiring/light wet) in really hot water, it will cause the adhesive to come loose so you can pry the mirror off. It was in a thread probably fix months ago, and I haven't personally tried it.

Zac4mac told me he did the same thing. I would PM him for details.

Ryan - boiling water releases the adhesive in a few seconds.
Once you have the glass off (go slow it's very thin) the mirror comes apart easy.

Call me if you still have trouble.
