The plastic piece next to the rear pipe above the brake pedal on all my 1125's looks melted [its not] and burnt. All the other bikes i've seen are the same way.If anybody knows of an aftermarket part for this let me know.If nothing is available I might have my friend make a few in Carbon Fiber. Waiting for a price. Let me know if anybody else is interested. | ||

I like the lokks of the satin finish carbon but have yet to see it for sale anywhere.Seen some on an Aprilia I believe. | ||

I took my cover off to check it out but when I noticed it was also protection for a wire behind it[I think the speedometer pickup] I opted to put it back on. I do think the bike looked OK with it removed. | ||

It was a very early(just before the start of production) fix for a "hotfoot" encountered by the press on pre-release rides. Another fix is the larger oil-cooler. Prototypes also had amber lenses on the front turn signals. A small dose of 1125 history....  Z | ||

I took mine off too, and the seat actually seems to be cooler. An aluminum one would be awesome because dissipate heat better. | ||

That shield protects the VSS(speed sensor). I've been having the 0 mph issue since it has warmed up. I added extra insulation to mine to see if it will better protect the VSS. I will be interested to see if anybody that is not running this cover is having the VSS issue. | ||
